In case you don't know, every time a gate launches, its stratum column in the arcade is filled with nothing but ?s except for one stratum which houses the boss levels that gate carries.
So, without the power of minerals in the Clockworks, what levels are there to create? I want to see (or at least know) what happens when a gate launches with a stratum missing a theme (as in it has the ? on it).
It's a randomly generated Stratum. You see it on the Testing Server all the time, all those question marks just turn into something random once the gate launches.

What I mean by "Pure Normal" is that a Stratum has no status effects at all, just a plain stratum.

Yeah, like there's sleep enemies that inflict sleep. Im guessing its gonna be random, as i have never seen a pure normal stratum.
I have revised my theory. The only monster will be slooms, and maybe a Haunter that knows knightmare (punny pokemon reference)
So they fixed sleep in some random patch and never told us? I dont think so. Also, Slooms dont exist ingame anymore. "These monsters used to be found through Monster Cages. They no longer exist ingame any more." (From the wiki)
Why do you think they don't exist? Because there hasn't been a stratum with out a theme. They're hibernating

Slooms appear on the Preview Server. Possibly because of no-theme Strata?
If a stratum is missing a theme, I think the stratum is either random or just pure normal.
