The way lockdown is, not too many players find it an advantage to dominate all 3 to 5 points in one shot...we facebook our pokes to dominate eachother and while it is in a sense good entertainment spiral knights could use something more. I introduce Battle Point
The object is simple and similar to lockdown, you get 1 control point and an option to slot in with 2 to 6 players at your choosing, gvg, or at random. The goal is to keep the point for a set amount of time every so often the team will get granted a certain amount of points which at the end of either 1000 points will end the match. Players will get 6 upgrade stations at their spawn, allowing them to select 2 upgrades at a time. Those upgrades are as fallow:
Row 1
Charge time reduction high
Attack speed increase high
Damage bonus high
Row 2
Drakon upgrade station
Seraphynx upgrade station
Maskerite upgrade station
The rules are as fallow for the stations:
You may not select 2 of the same kind in either row 1 or row 2 you may only select 1 from each row.
There is a reset station to reset your upgrades and select two new upgrades.
You can only use the upgrade intended for your own selected sprite.

pet upgrades
Each pet upgrade focuses on 9 aspects inside that you can chose to upgrade personally, your sprite will receive a momentary buff that gets reset to its original form at the end of the game. All 9 aspects are divided into 3 catagories for all 3 abilities (that you unlock at your own depending on your sprite level) They are as fallow:
Drakon -
Firebolt - gives drakon the option to chose either fire, stun or freeze to cripple their foe changing the way the sprite looks for every selection. Each one selects the style and status infliction for the rest of the drakons abilities. including Flame barrier and fire storm.
Flame barrier -
The buff has a option of increased duration of fire and defense buff.
Movement speed increase with attack speed increase.
Or 2 largely spaced orbs with a chance to detonate on second click, each ball does minimal damage and does not cause fire until detonated nor does it cause hit stun.
Fire storm -
Gives the option of either having a large fire storm swing by for a long duration.
Will give a bonus for armor reduction on enemy caught in flame.
Lastly you could chose to give yourself attack speed increase and damage bonus increase for a short while for every player caught in the flame.
Seraphynx
Ray of light -
You have the option to give a long focused beam of light until it hits a wall or object (will not break blocks) for 5 seconds.
You could also get a chance of expanding the light ray to a more wider radius and damage radius for 5 seconds.
Or you can chose to have a simple line double the length of the normal seraphynx ray of light but anything caught inside the ray will suffer an explosive damage with a status effect of stun or shock.
Heart attack -
For every player caught inside the heart attack they will suffer a small debuf until the enchantment is gone (heart attack time is reduced for this one).
For every hit you lay on an enemy you get a small health bonus (recharge time is increased by 25%).
For every kill you get, you get a small movement speed increase. After 5 kills it stops the speed increase. The speed increase resets when the player dies
Angelic aura -
players inside the aura will get a defense buff even after leaving the shield for a small amount of time, (5 seconds)
Dramatic increase in size and power of the shield but slow mobility of the player inside the shield
For every player inside the shield they are granted their own shield until it fades away (lasts atleast 10 seconds and maskerite players can not cloak while being shielded or get the benefits while cloaked)
Maskeraith
Caustic quills -
Players tagged by these quills will suffer poison. One quill at a time will break for each hit and the quill wont go away until the player gets attacked. (team members can break the quills too at a price of damage)
Players that are attacked by the quills will have a chance of spreading them onto other players. Each quill has a timed duration of damage and will break once done (only 5 are shot and the spray is large)
Players caught by the quill will have a strong poison released on them and suffer movement speed decrease until the quills break dealing small damage
Shadow cloak -
Players can cause a decoy duplicate that deals 50% less damage then you and leaves you 50% more vulnerable to damage. The duplicate will mirror your attacks and lasts for 15 seconds. The enemy can deal damage to the decoy and kill it. The Decoy will also revolve around a radius. If the player leaves the radius the decoy will disappear exposing you. (a lined circle will be shown only to you on the radius)
Players that select this can get a damage bonus on their attacks along with movement speed increase. For every hit delt the player gets an additional 5% time reduction on their cooldown.
Players selecting this cloak can create decoys when they attack (3 at max) for 10 seconds each decoy does small damage with a cutter weapon and you can press shield to break free of the cloak and attack with your own sword.
Hexing haze -
anyone caught inside the haze will get a darkness reduction on the screen making it harder to see. Players will suffer tunnel vision with a small radius to see from until they leave the haze. The more people hexed the smaller the view is.
Players hazed will start to have ghosts fallow them, the ghost will increase in size, the larger the size the stronger the ghost will be. Players with a large ghost fallowing will suffer a strong shield braking blow that has a chance of cracking their shield. Anything smaller will also cause a devastating chunk of damage to the shield.
Players hazed will either get a random status effect, or a chance of armor debuf, damage debuf or speed debuf.
Other notices
Players will not recieve striker, guardian or recons. This is where the pets come in, you can use any armor you want, any shield but no pet perks due to random generation. Players will all start at spawns which have the setup as usual and the maps are medium sized to small depending on how many players there are.
Players will also encounter certain areas with spawn points for other items such as, mob spawners and a chance to encounter a golden trojan which will spare the user that spawned it. The golden trojan will take damage if it touches a wall, or manages to touch the control point at which it will die.
