Hi :D
I seem to have a problem with logging into my Spiral Knights account on Steam, as the game will launch, but immediately crash/close at either the character selection screen or the ready room (if I make it that far). I'm not sure if the game is "crashing" so much as just closing, because the window just shuts like I'd just x'ed out of it, and from many witnesses, my main character (Araliaggtwo) still remains online in the Ready Room.
The issue started about 2 weeks ago, after I had updated Spiral Knights, and I had not played since 3 weeks before that (5 weeks from now). After Spiral Knights downloaded/updated on Steam, and I launched the game, the screen game up and almost immediately after the window disappeared. I tried several time but to no avail.
Previously, I've had issues with Spiral Knights shutting on its own accord, mostly when minimizing the window. It would minimize but minutes later would crash/close, and my character/player would remain wherever it was (Guild Hall, Clockworks, etc). It was quite frustrating, frankly, but I had brushed it off and continued playing. I have no idea if that issue is related to this one at all.
I've checked my computer and read and almost completed all of the instructions from the 'Technical Problems? Read this first!' thread. I've updated my graphics driver, updated Java, and reinstalled Spiral Knights several times, even reinstalling Steam. As I am not a computer aficionado, I cannot provide lots of details about my computer, although my laptop has an Intel Pentium processor(?) and Windows 7. Its Windows Experience Index is 4.5 (not sure if that's too low) and I've never had issues with the Spiral Knight launcher before this summer (c. August 2013?).
I'm really hoping I can fix this as my Steam character is a Defender Elite that's almost a Champion and a Guild Master, while my alternate non-Steam account is a Knight. If there is anything I should try in order to solve this problem, or any way to fix it, please let me know c:

The most common cause of this problem is when older Intel graphics and drivers are used. If you updated the graphics driver using an update from your computer vendor it may still be out of date. Please try downloading and installing the generic driver version directly from Intel's Download Center.
If the download from Intel refuses to install due to an existing driver please try following these steps on the wiki.
