Hi, I logged in today and it went to downloadig/updating the latest patch. So I waited for that to complete, then successfully logged in. I then went out to lunch. Leaving my computer on.

When I returned, I was unable to log back into Spiral Knights. As of now, I've attempted to do so for about an hour, I have even restarted my PC.

Please assist, what info's required? I go by Awoogawooga

Edit: D'oh! I'mma idjit. My actual login name is updatedude

Fix for steam users

1. go to your games library, right click spiral knights > properties> under local files tab, click verify game cache.

2. steam will verify and download missing file.

3. now don't launch the game. (verify again if u launched it before restart by accident)

4. Exit steam and restart your PC.

5. launch the game now.

Thanks. Games library? Is

Thanks.

Games library? Is that a Steam thing? Alas, I didn't get SK via steam.

Oh yeah, the error message I got when I fail to log on is "Failed to connect to the server".

I'm reasonably sure it's not due to my connection's stability, as I'm able to download other stuff and surf and torrent etc.

As noted above, I was able to log in before I went for lunch, so I didn't think it's due to a missing file?

Hmmm

I'm having the same issue with my copy, and am hoping I'm not going to have to uninstall/reinstall again. My non-steam account gives me the error message: "Either there is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet ready. Please wait a moment before reconnecting." This is several hours after a successful second patch.

After having used the repair suggested by Joseanand for my Steam account and restarting the computer once it had finished, I continue to get the same message on that account.

Is this a fairly widespread thing?

Try restarting

Try restarting your PC/Laptop...worked for me in the morning, but I don't want to do it now because I'm uploading on YouTube :/

Getting the same outage

After it updated not allowing me to log in similar to the first poster. Not using steam running the linux java client here.

Monitored the network connection to try to see where it all went wrong, it requests and receives the dns address for game.spiralknights.com just fine, connects to the address given by dns where it requests some public key crypto business. After that it all seems to mess up. Either the update messed with the keys on our side or something is wrong on their end. Too lazy to look much further into it. Either way not a lot we can do except wait for them to fix it.

Same problem guys

I'm on Kongregate and I can't get past the title screen, it keeps telling me this

"Either there is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet ready. Please wait a moment before reconnecting."

What's wrong with it?

Happens to me as well @_@

I was playing fine after updating the game, but now it just loads forever or ends up saying "Failed to connect."
Btw, I'm using Steam.

What Goldeneman (#10) said, but faster than that:

I had this too. Then I clicked the little icon in the system tray that shows your connection status, turned network connection off briefly and back on... et voila: issue fixed. (Likely unplugging and replugging your network cable / turning your wifi off and back on has the same result.)

Greetings,

The Devs gave the game servers an early morning massage and it should have resolved any log in problems. Everything should be running and ready for you now.

Add me to that list of login issues. I did what Joseanand suggested and it worked fine. Then i exited from watching a LD and got a permanent black screen... can't log in again. Did what Joseanand suggested a second time and it worked. I logged in as if SK had crashed (instantly teleported to Bazaar). I can still log in, but it's a pain in the but especially with the random black screens during area changes.

Any thoughts OOO?
