The Fallen Armor Set: Is it worth it?

I currently have the full Fallen Armor set. When I first got it I figured it would be really useful when fighting undead. Now that at least a month has gone by the set is starting to rot away in my arsenal while my Radiant Silvermail and Divine Veil takes it's place when fighting not only undead, but also fiends!

Now here is my question. Should I keep my Fallen set for a later point in time to see if I may or may not use it again, or should I just sell it and use the money to get a head start on something better?

If you are unaware of what the Fallen set does I will make a quick list at level 10 with the full set equipped:

Normal Defense: 7 1/2
Shadow Defense: 7 1/2
Poison Resistance: Maximum!
Fire Resistance: Maximum!
Curse Weakness: Maximum!
Universal Attack Speed Increase: Medium
Universal Fiend Damage Penalty: Very High

keep

Fallen is a pretty weak set, especially since other offensive sets around it have been buffed. But don't sell it. Keep it, in case it's buffed in the future. That's what I'm doing, anyway. Also, as you probably know, Fallen is decent for Shadow Gloaming Wildwoods.

Unless it's Ancient gear, it's never worth selling 5* stuff.

Fallen's not so bad. It's got shadow and fire resistance, and attack speed for every weapon. Combine with swiftstrike for all-around ultra. Very handy for C42.

Thanks for the answers.

I already have specialized sets made for Compound 42 and the shadow lair of Gloaming Wildwoods. But if Fallen ever gets buffed or I find some use for it I'll be glad to have kept it. I'll go and mix a few other sets together and see what kind of hybrid layout I can make with Fallen. After all, I'm pretty sure that specialist sets were made to be mixed and matched with other gear to make the one ultimate load out for a certain situation.

These are good answers that I will have to keep and mind. Thanks for the advice!

Fallen has a strong fire resistance and med ASI for the exchange of VH fiend penalty and VH curse weakness. It is a high risk, high reward set (like the valkyrie armor, very good against fiends but once you got set on fire, you are done). I made the armor of the Fallen and luckily, I got med shock resist. Combining it with my divine veil, I get a VH shock resist as well as a max fire resist, and divine veil's fiend bonus cancels out the penalty on the Fallen armor. (for some reason, it doesn't entirely cancel out, you will still have a LOW fiend penalty, what is this scoccery?) I use this UV armor of the Fallen and divine veil in ghosts in the machine mission. It puts up with the shock quite well (3 seconds ) and any infernal passage with a shock/fire theme could be done with the combo as well.

I would like to mention that, in practice, Fallen, Valkyrie and Heavenly don't really have that much more weakness than Chaos if you're wearing the full set. Most enemies have +4 status infliction and Chaos has 4 status weakness. Status cannot go beyond 8, so only wisps and such will hit harder than you're used to with Chaos.

There's also no Curse wisp. In fact, I don't think sources of Curse lower than strong exist anywhere.

Yeah I think it's better to combine with other armors, especially ones like Dragon Scale and Divine Veil that lack normal defense.
Armor of the Fallen penalty is equal to Divine Veil's bonus, just the icon thing is wrong, it's been like that for a while

Almirian Shadow Guards and Black Kats (maybe only in T2) do curse that's lower than strong. I know BKC/Chaos still gets everything cursed but one piece of Chaos with curse low on it only curses 2 weapons instead of 3.

Any poison resist from 5* armor set + battle sprite perk = free-poison walking around those poison-oil slicks from toxoils. However, you still got 3 sec poison from slime's spike attacks.

Fallen + Swiftstrike allows for ASI Ultra on Bombs.

Surely, that must be noteworthy. Right? No? Fine.

Fallen is great, just not for fiends

With any other armor, you lose about 6-7 bars of health against zombie attacks. With Fallen, you only lose about 4. You also don't get set on fire from slags. It's frankly pretty amazing in FSC, and if you carry a Blitz Needle, you don't have to worry as much about your fiend penalty.

It also works well in UGWW and C42, as noted above. I think it's underused and underestimated.
