Why would you make barriers? You have pretty much made drakon useless. Firebolt is weakee that a firotech alchemer, there is a barrier that does more damage, has different types, and has no cool down, and now people with maskeraiths are overpowered with all of their moves.
Hexing haze is very strong the damage cloak is useless since you can use it while cloaking. (I think.) And it breaks quills faster.
So OOO now you have rendered 2 moves useless actually, 3 if you count the sera laser.
OOO! What is your problem?!
Hexing haze isn't that powerful. All it does is "Hex" an enemy and damages them after 3 seconds of being hexed.
Cloak is kind of useless. You can't do anything with it but prevent enemies from "Seeing you". Even with the upgrade, they both don't do much. And the quills were nerfed a bit. And they're only effective when they actually hit.
Look um nep... This, this just isn't gonna work out. It-its not you, it-its me.
Don't expect OPness from a battle sprite. They can only make the game easier, considering the devs didn't buff the monsters at all, only added elite mode.
^ It's sad 'aint it?
OT: I fell the same way too, the kitty is ok, the maske is OP, but the dragon is useless, alchemer does better damage, you have the barrier(which is better that dragons skill) and the artillery strike(haven't found one so I don't know) dragon needs a major buff to catch up to the others.
By your comments, I am assuming you haven't chosen an ultimate skill for your Drakkon yet? The ultimates on dragon are actually pretty useful, and aren't necessarily outclassed by alchmer/barrier/artillery strike.
Firebolt : Eh...Okay maybe a magma driver may have more damage because of its richochets, but if you have a firebolt, you don't have to carry a magma driver, so one less weapon needed. Also, if upgraded to concussive firebolt, it can also stun enemies, which magma driver cannot. Also, I going to assume you haven't fully evolved your drakon yet. As your drakon levels up, firebolt powers up. It does A LOT of damage at level 100.
Barrier (on drakon): Okay, so yes, the items picked up called "barriers" are kinda like drakon's. However, when upgraded to Scorching Barrier, you get three fireballs, better than the barriers. When upgraded to backfire barrier, you get a speed bonus. Granted, this skill isn't THAT much better than normal barriers, but its not entirely useless.
Firestorm: This is not in any way outclassed by artillery strike. When upgraded to Frenzied firestorm, every member of your party gains attack dmg bonus and attack speed for every monster inside the firestorm and it usually lasts for a while. This is much better than artillery strike.
Oh, and the maskeraith isn't that OP. Hexing haze does 150 dmg per enemy at level 100 in tier 3 (which turns out to not really be a lot). Also, you really can't use this to pop quills faster because the universal cooldown means that your quills will be gone by the time you can use hexing haze. Also, the ultimates for hexing haze right now are mostly useless, so not really that overpowered.
@Dali, cloak is amazing. Deadly Shadow Cloak (ult version of cloak) gives you attack bonus that goes beyond max as well as movement speed. It essentially gives you the same amount of damage that you have after using a spark. Also, the quills were nerfed a bit, but not by much. They still do about the same amount of damage as a plague needle charge (per bullet/quill)
You aren't taking into account that hexing haze can be aligned to an enemy type to bump it up to around 300 damage, and then you aren't taking into account it can hit the same target multiple times. You can get a good 600 damage to 10+ mobs... that's pretty darn significant.
Should have got a Serphanyx then, instead of whining on the forums!
It's not OP and it's probably the most useful of them all!
@OP
Don't get so worked up. Drakon's Flame Barrier is still viable in the sense that while it is limited to dealing Fire status, you can still align it with entirely different damage types for greater damage (Shadow and Elemental) Barriers on the the other hand can only deal normal damage.
Furthermore, you can only have 3 of one type of barrier, and that is only IF you manage to find them, which they don't seem to drop more than vials and capsules. They aren't strong enough to the point where you'll find yourself passing up Health/Status Capsules, so that leaves you with two slots for barriers in most scenarios. Curse vials will leave you with 1 slot for barriers since it doesn't come in barrier form.
Finally, the barriers only last so long then they're gone. The Flame Barrier skill is at your disposal an infinite number of times given you wait out the cooldown. On top of this, the Flame Barrier gives you a Defense bonus where dungeon barriers do not.
On a different note, Maskeraiths are hardly overpowered until they hit 100. Shadow Cloak is borderline useless without an ultimate, and even Deadly Cloak only gives you 3 seconds of Speed and Attack. My greatest use of it was walking past the FSC Rocket Puppy, that's it. Ultimates aren't even that great compared to Drakon's Backfire Barrier and Scorching Barrier. Hexing haze is only OP when it has maxed out augments with a highly effective damage alignment. Anything under it is usually too short in duration or too weak in damage. Unless you had tons of Minerals when you got a Maskeraith, you had to give an arm and a leg to get your hands on Hexing Haze, the same for all 3rd Skills. Caustic Quills is very inaccurate, even when fired into horde. it works best like all the other first skills: Damaging/weakening single, high level threats. (Gunpuppies out of reach, Lumbers, Bosses, etc.) Although Seraphynx's Beam is in dire need of a buff, Maskeraith isn't OP
"you can still align it with entirely different damage types for greater damage"
No, you can't. The barrier items deal more normal damage than the flame barrier's aligned damage.
Maskeraith isn't OP, it simply changes the gaming experience. But that's only if you choose to let it do so.
The maskeraith is better than all other pets.
I love you.
