Which UV is the best for Caliburs?

I have the opportunity to buy one of two UV caliburs. One is IAS, and the other is CTR. Which one would be more useful on a calibur in tier 2/3?

Additional Info:
I carry a divine avenger around for the charge. Does that make the CTR calibur redundant?

Do you wear Vog Cub? An IAS

Do you wear Vog Cub? An IAS above Medium would be partly wasted if you do.

Nope. I will have vog within

Nope. I will have vog within 10-12 days though, if that's important.

I wanted the Calibur with UV IAS High because I plan on hybriding using guns later on. What I want to know is, does the Leviathan Blade charge compare to the DA charge?

Wellf

I don't have a DA, but Leviathan Blade is pretty much like any other calibur-line charge attack ; 360 degree attack for a little less than twice the normal attack, hitting multiple times (up to 3 if you've got them cornered, they are in a fixed position like a gun puppy, or you are really really lucky. 2 is more common, and once is most common.) Although it has no range like DA does, it's probably the most hit points that can be dealt of any attack in the game except maybe Nitronome which I don't have. It seems to me like I do 120-180 with a charge attack in T2 depending on depth, and 220 - low 300s in T3, depending on depth, but I haven't been writing it down. Hitting 5 or more targets is common in arena fights, and 8 or more targets is common in jelly palace. That's a lotta damage ;)

OTOH, it's a medium sword and so not the fastest, and in T3 the charge attack becomes a lot less useful. CTR would make it more useful, certainly, but there's still a period of vulnerability involved. You don't really need IAS if you plan to use vog cub, but having IAS means you don't -need- to wear any vog cub gear giving you a wider range of armor choices. Levi is slow enough that it really is a lot better to have at least some IAS, whether from vog cub or UV doesn't matter, but you may find it hard going without either.

I rather enjoy the 360 arc,

I rather enjoy the 360 arc, since it clears enemies that may leap onto you from behind. I can see the CTR being useful when whaling away on Vanaduke's mask.

Also interesting to note, the Calibur line can do up to 4 hits of damage to lighter enemies if they are thrown against a wall.

I never managed to hit more

I never managed to hit more than 3 times with cali charge. CTR is my prefered UV on em still.

I disagree,

it's probably the most hit points that can be dealt of any attack in the game except maybe Nitronome which I don't have.

While it is probably more useful in normal areas depending on which enemies you are fighting the divine avenger charge up attack deals ridiculously large amounts of damage in arenas and Danger zones. You outdamage the healing done by 2 ironclaw menders by a very large bit.

Yeah I know, the DA charge is

Yeah I know, the DA charge is a really good floor sweeper. It's probably the only reason I have a use in an arena round, really.

Meh, I'll just go with the IAS then.

It was between IAS: high and CTR: Medium.
