Hello Spiral Knights Community!
I'm Kholai. I post here, because i have problem with running the game. I just installed everything, that's necessary for SK: updated video driver, framework... I have a little problem with java, can't install the online version. My system says a file is corrupt, so i downloaded the offline version (don't know if missing the online version may cause the problem). So i downloaded the game, and it opened a client, that loaded the rest of the game. When it was done the game launched, but just for a moment. I tried reinstalling SK over and over, but i didn't work. Don't know how this could happen, i played this game earlier on this pc. In a nutshell: the game crashes after a second, i can't even see the login screen. Please help me, i really like this game, and i want to play it again. (Sorry for my bad english, but i hope you understand what's the matter)
Almost forgot my specs:
Processor: AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 2600+ around 1.6Ghz
Memory: 1280MB
Video card: ATI Radeon 9550 / x1050 Series (126MB)

I seem to have the problem too, after updating. The window opens for a second and closes immediately.

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU P6000 @ 1.87GHz 1.87 GHz
Memory: 2.00 GB(1.87 GB usable)

I might try uninstalling and reinstalling, but I can't seem to find it in the Uninstall/Change Program window...

You could, I think so, with the help of a GM in converting your client account into a Steam one.

I updated the video driver. I decided to do it again, and it works. Note that i used a whole different download link. By the way i can log in, but i'm facing a massive lag now.

I have fixed it

I have finally fixed it!! :D
basically what I did is I ran the uninstaller (even though it leaves files behind) then deleted everything. EVERY LAST TRACE OF THE GAME must be deleted. Then go to the website, re-install the downloader (if you've gotten it already but make sure to delete that too) and re-install the game. It worked for me and I hope it does for you too. You could still try to convert to steam but I havn't. One more note: the files have been placed around in many places so check your program files, your temp folders and maybe re-install do a different folder other than the default one. Also note, upgrade and make sure your Java and graphics driver are up to date. Mine are pretty good so I don't really care because it works but if you're lagging, I hope this helped :)
