The World Series of baseball is upon us! And what better way to celebrate and enjoy the Fall Classic than to try and predict how the match up between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox will end.

Rules and Submission Info

So here is how this contest is going to work. You enter the contest by posting the required information, and you will have a chance at winning one of several low-budget prizes. Yay! Cheap prizes FTW! Anyways, the deadline for submitting or changing an entry is Wednesday, October 23 4:00 pm Pacific Standard Time (11:00 pm GMT). To enter the contest, please post in this thread the following:

• World Series information

1) The name of the winning team.
2) How many games the series goes. (Reminder: It is a best of seven series. This means the first team to win four games is crowned the new champion of the MLB.)
3) The final score of the last game. (Bonus: Feel free to include the number of innings if you think the game will go into extra innings)
4) The player who wins MVP of the series.

• Contact information

1) The IGN (in-game name) you would like any prizes to be sent.

EXAMPLE:
Cincinnati Reds in 7 games.
Game 7 final score: Reds 5, Yankees 4 (in 12 innings)
MVP: Brandon Phillips
IGN: Example-Knight

(You do not have to use this example as an exact template for a submission, but it would be nice if it was somewhat similar to the example. Whatever format you use, make sure your submission contains all five of the requirements and is clear.)

Although it is not required, try to pick a unique submission and not the exact same submission as another knight. If someone else has a submission that you really want, you may copy the submission. However, be aware that if the submission is a prize winner, the original entry will receive a full prize, and subsequent entries will most likely receive slightly smaller prizes.

Prizes

There are three base prizes, which are based on the number of correct predictions. I might give little bonuses on top of the base prize if I feel the entry deserves it. I also might give some honorable mention prizes. However, I’ll have to see how this contest goes before I decide whether or not to give extras. The three prize categories are the following:

-Correctly predict all four World Series categories (winning team, number of games, final score, and MVP): 300 CE
-Correctly predict any three categories correctly: 200 CE
-Correctly predict any two categories correctly: 100 CE

Please allow about a week for prizes to be sent to the winners. Hopefully I can get all the prizes sent within a day or two, but it might take longer depending on my schedule, how many prizes need to be sent out, calculating any honorable mention prizes, et cetera….

*Note: I reserve the right to change the rules including the submission requirements, deadline, number of prizes, and the prizes themselves as I see fit. If I do make changes, I will do my best to clearly communicate the changes to everyone. Most likely changes will not pertain to those that have already submitted an entry. Although I do not plan on making any significant changes, I still want the above to be understood :P*
