I've been playing Spiral Knights since it came out on steam, and all that time I've been wondering: "would it be possible to turn the awesome moving clockwork backrounds into computer screensavers?"
I've not heard anyone else talk about this, is it even possible? If so, why has no one converted them yet? Because they would make amazing backrounds.
Thoughts?
There was a point in time where I was working on a screensaver for the title screen background, however, the main problem that was encountered was that in order for it to barely properly loop, it'd take over 12 minutes. It's not something that can be done without properly looping unless you don't really care.
Nah, it would consume too much RAM. Especially if you went straight from Java to screensaver-format.
Nah, it would have too much server lag.
EDIT: On a serious note, I'd totally bite if that was available. I need a decent screensaver anyway.
