Ive tried gunning in LD but it seems that Im too unskilled or I have a horrible loadout. Got any recommendations for LD other than the boring chaos and trollaris loadout. here are my gunner weapons and armor/helms;

Supernova 5*
Biohazard 5*
Nova Driver 5*
Blitz needle 5*
Argent Peacemaker 5*
Industrial catalyzer 3*
Shadowtech Alchemer 3*
Voltech alchemer 3*

Shadowsun Stetson and Slicker
Seerus mask
Chaos cloak (though i don't use it much)
2* Gunslinger set, upgrading hat to justifier and sash to nameless

Well thats basically it. If I need to craft new items then i will be willing to since crafting is a fun process for me :)
If you want to send me a private message for any reason like giving me a farting llama that spits rainbows, my IGN is shadowtrojan.

First off, just wana say there's a much steeper learning curve for gunner. "Shoot safely from a distance" just sounds so good on paper :). You're going to have to practice and die. A lot. Give yourself 1 penta trinket at least. There's a lot of variety in this style of play. Just by looking at your weapon loadout i'd use:

AP - chips away at guard shield, fast shot bullets cut through the polaris clones, and just being shot by this gun makes you want to kill the person :). This gun has a distance advantage over alchemers, but if you want ultimate distance advantage i'd get a Valiance.

Nova - use this when people start chasing you. Fire a few steps ahead of where you think they'll go (usually where you once were if they're agro swordies). Against other gunners more mindgames come in to play and this probably wont be your first weapon of choice to use.

Bio/Supernova - either are good though I prefer the no knockback from the Bio. The slow moving bullets should be your starter move to force the opponent to have more of a limited option of how to get to you. This usually causes swordies to use more of their striker dash to go around the bullets which gives you the endurance advantage since you'll be running yer arse off. Against other gunners this will again limit their movements but only slightly - use sparingly.

3 guns should be enough. If you have a 4th slot, maybe equip a flourish to punish swordies who miss their swings too often.

Armor should be chosen based on preference or class. After reading Zeddys LD thread, i'd recommend going either full nameless or full justifier to offer specific defense. Otherwise the half defense with each won't help at all.

Hope that helps!

Blueflood's Lockdown videos are nice to look at for technique and such. You'll see his thread in The Coliseum.

Chaos is overused for a reason, but you don't seem to like that. :P

Out of your current equipment:
Biohazard - a great kiting gun, not so great of a gun by itself though; use something else with it
Nova Driver - does a lot of damage per hit, but missing a shot means getting hit
Argent Peacemaker - I'm horrible with this gun, but absolutely deadly with someone good with aim; weak hits
Voltech Alchemer - consider upgrading that; shock means no invincibility frames, you can wreck havoc with an Argent

Seerus Mask and Nameless seems good. Favors the Alchemers.
Shadowsun Set is decent as well, but movement is just a little reduced. With uv's, worth using.

Consider:
Valiance - normal damage, but large hitbox and you can shoot with two bullets instead of one at a time with an alchemer; hits hard with a death mark.

With all the rushers, it's quite hard to gun in Lockdown. Fancy footwork is needed. Double-backing and such is very helpful. Switch-shooting is hard to use. Most users miss quite a bit, and do not focus on other enemies very well. I consider myself to be a good switch-shooter, but it's wearing off.

Edit: Blueflood's post looks a little better. :3
