You need 3. But you get one from a mission reward.

Damage bonuses don't have anything to do with range.

Flowchart has answered your questions exactly correctly. I'll just add that there is no mechanism in this game for increasing the range of a bomb (or sword or gun).

Bomb UVs used to reduce their radius, but that was a very, very long time ago.

You want to find Shining Fire Crystals? Have you tried the wiki? The page "Rarity" tells you roughly where they are.

Try searching Google (not the forum's built-in search function) for stuff like "heat site:forums.spiralknights.com" and "shining crystal site:forums.spiralknights.com".

That's not much help. Shinings can be found throughout stratums 4 and 5, so try doing missions in there. I can get plenty on ones such as Rotting Metropolis and In Cold Blood.

A: For lots of heat its obviously vanaduke. But what are shinings? If you meant Shining Fire Crystals just do the danger missions. At the end there are massive amounts of treasure boxes.It will give you mostly radiant but you will be able to turn them into shinings with the Shining fire crystal recipe.

FSC now gives shinings as well as radiants, radiants are the hardest to get now I think.

no specific place, other than where treasure boxes are

I have been helping Lancer Knightz collect their mission payout data. So I've been redoing a lot of missions, on multiple levels of difficulty. Sparks of Life drops are pretty random, and I've found no good place for them. Like with any drop, I recommend that you find places rich in treasure boxes: treasure vaults, the treasure levels of danger missions, etc.

My guess is that you will NOT have access to the obelisk of creation when this event ends. It would have to be installed somewhere accessible, such as Haven or Emberlight, which doesn't make much sense. But I have no verifiable information on this one.

On the other hand, I recall that Nick has officially declared that all items related to the Apocrea --- sigils, materials, weapons --- will persist after the event ends. So you can save them up for the next time it happens (assuming that it ever does).
