Balance CTR

CTR is way too pivotal on specific items and too pointless on others. Some items need their base charge times reduced, and CTR as a whole needs to be toned down a bit while still being more powerful than flat damage.

Bombs especially are extremely reliant on CTR compared to guns and swords that utilize ASI.

Ctr is pretty much... The only thing bombs need. I would agree putting a lage delay on the brandish charge time, but everything else is pretty balanced. Well, except for the volcanic pepperbox... Something that small should charge faster than the average blitz

I really don't see why CTR can't make a difference of 4% per level like every other bonus. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Oh, yes, please. I'm all for that. I mean, it's not like it'd be hard to code, right? They've got the tools with status conditions and buffs and everything. I feel like it'd be even better than tinkering with charge times... and it'd be an incredibly good way to balance so many different things.

I don't really pay attention to the exact mechanics, so i can't say for sure whether or not CTR needs to be fixed. Although, i like how not every weapon needs CTR, that way I can choose which augmenting armor would be best suited for which weapon. If every bonus could be used evenly with every weapon, it would be kinda boring. For example, I like how damage and CTR bonuses are great on WHB, while ASI (and possible slight damage bonus) are better on DVS. I'm a weapon collector that has a different loadout for each situation, so I want each combination to be as unique as possible.

That being said, I didn't fully understand what it was you were suggesting (from my own stupidity, not your lack of detail) so if my post is completely irrelevant you are free to ignore me :\

You're thinking that balancing CTR and its effects against the other bonuses would mean that the bonuses would be just as valuable as each other in every situation.

ASI and CTR will still be worlds apart in usefulness on weapons like the Rocket Hammer.
