A question about UVs

Do UVs become redundant if the total bonuses go over maximum? (ie with added equipment that gives the same increase)
For example with a swift strike buckler (which gives very high attack speed increase)
and a UV sword with medium attack speed increase - I presume my attack speed (increase) becomes maximum!
In this case would an attack speed increase UV on the sword better than medium be pointless? Or can attack speed be increased past the maximum!?

Any help answering this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.

Yes.

EDIT: Status Resist: Maximum! merely denotes the maximum resistance you can possibly get on one piece of gear, not that you've reached the cap for Status Resist. Going past that cap also does not provide better returns, which makes my Vog Cub coat UV useless unless I want to swap out the helm for something else.

One thing I'm curious about

One thing I'm curious about is whether or not attack speed UVs will benefit a sword like cutter. Does atk speed have any kind of limit? The speed bar on cutter is already extremely high, and judging by what UVs do on armor, would a medium attack speed UV on a cutter "max" its atk speed? Or can it get faster? I guess the question is is a cutter with medium UV attack speed and full Vog any faster than just a cutter with medium attack speed?

@Cilreve

The bars do not cap your stats. Several of the 5* Plate items show a full bar of normal resistance, but actually have more than that. This suggests that you can go past the display limit. I'm not sure how we'd test it, but my guess is that you can push a cutter past the "max" speed using some combination of Vog/UV/Swiftstrike.

@Khaim

The only bars that are unaffected by caps are damage and armor. All others are "effects" and have a multiplicative and not additive effect. Having max Fire resist on a Vog set compared to a Vog set with no max Fire provides no further results than a standard set may have.
