Why is it taking so long?

gods ain't gonna help you, son.
something I know from kong: the timer is a lie. it's the prospected time your computer calculates on the spot, which means, it's not that much time.
don't refresh, start over or whatever if you don't have to. it will send you back to the start.

restarting doesn't slow you down....
I have restarted numerous times trying to get a better connection to the update server, and it goes straight to the % it was at when I closed it.
The issue is the update servers are slower than a heard of turtles. Future thought for devs, when releasing an update that you know lots of people are going to get at one time, make it a p2p download. IE the client pulls parts from everyone to make the files, so that the DL is faster initially, and then the late comers wont be waiting as long (currently, 1.5 hours and at 13% woot! at this rate it will be 2 days from now before I can even log on).
Not sure if the p2p would involve a major recode or just some tweaks, but worth a thought IMO.

Is there seriously no better way to DL this? I just tried uninstalling and re-installing the game (since I was at 36% after 2.5 hours anyway) and that didn't help, I was hoping the DL server was different than the update server, but I was wrong.
Anyone have any other thoughts? I have a fast net connection, and I for the first time in over 6 months wanted to play! Sadly, it's getting to the point where I won't want to soon since this is taking so long.

Yeah...
Considering Haven 85 existed last time I got on and it was crowded(implying there are more) Its gonna take long.
Wait an hour and try again. There is probably heavy traffic on the update server.
