Everybody in lockdown hates Gran Faust, as a single combo completely destroys anybody without dual pentas.
It's pretty powerful, but the major drawback on it is that it's slow and leaves you vulnerable.

What does OOO do?
Buff Acheron to do the same damage as Gran Faust

So... basically a Gran Faust with the speed of a flourish, and a viable charge attack.

Why did they buff the Acheron?
I'm assuming their reasoning is that Acheron has no status, while the elemental brandish line does, and therefore deserves to do more damage. It's the same reasoning for Alchemers, but I see a few flaws in the logic:

1. Gran Faust = not worth it anymore. Get triple the speed and the same damage, using Acheron.
2. Drivers have a chance to cause status on BASIC ATTACKS. Brandishes, do not. Logic = flawed.
3. Electron Vortex V.S. Graviton

Edit: I guess if they wanted to balance things out, they could make brandishes cause statuses on their normal swings, and gran faust cause curse on both the first and second?
Terrible way of balancing, but I doubt OOO's ever read up on that, so who cares.

weell, i aint playing LD till i get normal + shadow max on all my gear.

it was improved when revs and AT werent working, but they "fixed" that.

Acheron was buffed because of Obsidian Blade. It deals the same damage as old Acheron but has a status. Without the Acheron buff, Obsidian would obsolete it.

The correct solution would be to nerf the status Brandishes. It's an obvious solution that's obvious to everyone except whoever's in charge of numbers at OOO.

My 2 cents

I think the reason Archeron was buffed instead of all the brandishes nerfed is because nerfing usually causes mass discontent among players. The average person playing SK does not want to see a weapon he worked hard for get weaker.
The key thing to note is that while Archeron was buffed, but Gran Faust was not nerfed. Granfaust still has the larger hit box and a two hit combo that executes much faster than Archeron's 3 hit combo (especially with ASI). People with Gran Fausts are not disappointed while people with Archerons are happy.

OOO is the problem

They don't care about Colliseum at all, they are trying to get money from us at any cost.

They know that in 2 weeks from now all LD players will run out of Sparks and "Damage hunters" and "Jempies" will be forced to farm or buy.

Beware of Acheron AT spamers... Fayite, Vlad and Icybot.

Flourishes are notably faster than Brandishes, really. It's not a big difference but it's a notable difference nonetheless. Just saying.
