Unplayable Graphical Glitches -> SK crashing

Whenever I play SK, I start getting some bizarre graphical glitches. Most of them are just funny, like a knight's head disappearing or turning an off shade of purple. However, when playing the new Apocrea mission, these graphical glitches made the game near unplayable. Enemies started disappearing entirely, and I'm basically tracking them based on their floating health bar and, if I'm lucking, a set of glowing eyes (for the case of Freed Souls) or disembodied wings (For the case of Scarabs). Projectiles stop appearing entirely, so I just have to guess when enemies throw them and where. This slowly starts getting worse and worse until SK just crashes. Fortunately I have a decently powerful laptop that only takes about a minute to start up SK and load up the level I was in.

I've messed with my graphical settings numerous times, and my computer has always been able to run SK quite well. I don't really get drops in framerate either (at least not unplayable levels of framerate drop). I've had this problem rarely in the past, but with the recent patches this has started becoming worse and worse. Also, I am playing on Steam. Does that make a significant difference?

So slight bump...

I finally got an error message to occur, and it said something about one of my graphics drivers crashing.

Greetings,

While that could be a graphics problem, it's more likely that the game simply isn't able to load all of the resources it needs for one reason or another. Could you please file a bug report when you next run into this or after you have to start the game again? You can submit the report by pressing F2 or by using the /bug chat command. We'll have a look at the report and it should make things more clear.
