The sound of it reminds me of The Grudge. I think the arm thing is pretty original, it's a pretty generic "fear of being grabbed and immobilized" concept that everyone thinks up at one stage in time, even if they don't watch horror movies or anything.

Before I knew what it was
Before I knew what it was called, I instinctively called is a Grimalkin. Invulnerable (or so I thought) giant enemy who goes around in a dark area killing you. It's more like a Phantom with a ranged freeze attack, though.

Some purple possessed flower thingy in the final chapter. An Alraune, I think it was? I'm not stuck, I'm just distracted by other things at the moment like Love Plus and Alien Swarm mods. Chrome I admit getting stuck on though. She's a complete turdwallet, the entire fight depended on hoping she didn't use a bind or paralysis move more than once, which was like, 95% of the time.
