Now that all of the elite people who play a lot have quickly mashed through the levels, they have been made harder for the less skillful and equipped people who may not play as often, who also now don't have as many of the first group around to help. -_- And with the simultaneous Punkin King, now even less time to try to get rewards. Not very helpful to base decisions on how the best/highest geared/most play time players get stuff done to your large population of casual players.
Perhaps the data that OOO collected on this event tells a different story, but it is still a bummer to not be one of the players who just knows how to get what they need. The most I ever got in a run, pre update, was 150 sigil. I guess it's my own fault for running it on 'normal'.
I wonder what percentage of players got over 500 sigil per run before the patch?

I actually got 1400 sigils on my very first run pre-patch (got three graveyards). My first post-patch run with three graveyards fetched around 600 (though I also got a relevant 3* mat to drop).
Stratum is very tightly tied to payout, as is luck getting graveyards and patience/willpower clearing out a graveyard (which is much better done by a full crew that can stay alive and avoid getting caught).
The outlook of the run is very sane to someone with appropriate equipment going in, and anyone lacking in either equips or skill will suffer for lacking either and probably not have much fun lacking both. That said, there's nothing saying you couldn't bribe a more skilled player to invite you on a Strat 6 run where you just try to survive...

I already have the materials and the silent nightblade for the obsidian edge, the only crap keeping me fom making it is that it's level 8. I'm already desperately farming in cold blood too.

You can get them everywhere in tier 3 right now
Shining fire crystals are everywhere in tier 3 right now. Doing firestorm citadel for crystals might be quicker for them.
