I'm planning on buying a customized alienware. I'm looking for a configuration between $1,000-$1,500. Any suggestions?

If you're talking purely about Spiral Knights gameplay:
#1 Good graphics card
#2 Lots of RAM
#3 Fast, quadcore processor
