Leading up to Jelly King, there are 4 rooms, each with a key. 3 of those keys are needed to move on, and the 4th unlocks a treasure room.

Leading up to Vanaduke, there are 8 captured Sprites. 6 of those Sprites are needed to move on. And every team I've gone in with so far has pointed to the same two rooms and said "Those are too hard, and not worth it."

So, my question is pretty simple: is there any benefit to rescuing ALL of the Sprites (such as there is to getting ALL of the Keys in a Jelly run)?

Once the my team rescued

Once the my team rescued seven sprites just for the fun of it and the only discernible difference was the added crowns and heat.

Sort of an unrelated question

Sort of an unrelated question but probably not topic-worthy so if you don't mind me asking, what's the best strat for the homing missile room besides avoiding it completely?

Have a single member of your team distract the turret. Works best if that team member is in a Slag Walker free spot, preferably by the barrier door.

If you can, take out the slag

If you can, take out the slag walkers in the first area without aggro-ing the puppy (don't walk in front of its line of sight). Then shoot the puppy until you kill it. Move into the next area before it respawns and it shouldn't recognize that you're there.

@ Npasq: Yeh, I don't think there's really any benefit to rescuing all of them. Aside from additional heat/crowns/drops from doing those rooms, and feeling like a beast because you managed to save 8 sprites.

The Rocket Puppy room is best

The Rocket Puppy room is best done duo: pop the first barrier, draw Slag Walkers to the force field. Pop the first barrier, then the second, drag aggro to force field as your partner pops the first barrier to let you back again. Same strategy for all the other sections.

Well I unlocked all 8 rooms in Fire Storm with Dogrock me and him planned it well I distracted while he killed. Later a few weeks after our run I was bored and was solo'ing that was the last room left, and I attempted to do it....honestly it was way to hard to solo. Freeze vials helped, but it was nearly impossible to finish that part without dying....I would not suggest it died 2 times on that stage which was due to rocket puppy.

For the Rocket Puppy Room,

For the Rocket Puppy Room, solo, or even with teammates, there's an easy fix (though its sometimes hard to get to work). Walk into the room, shoot the rocket puppy, then run out of the room, hugging the top of the area as you go. If you do it right, you will eventually outrange the puppy, but he will be pointing to about 10 Oclock. All you need to do now, is hug the bottom part of the room when you first enter, and he shouldn't target you, allowing you to do the room without rockets flying at you.

(I'd upload a video, but i quit playing with the most recent patch, I just lurk around here waiting to see if they plan to fix it.)
