The purpose of this thread is for people to derail it from whatever topic it is currently about!

There's only one rule: When you derail the current topic, your post must somehow connect to the previous post.
In other words, you can't just spam random gibberish. That's called interrupting. You need to actually participate in the conversation to effectively change the subject.
If you feel trollish, you can try to divert a topic back to what it was originally and foil someone's digression! Just remember you can't skip someone's reply; you have to connect to something in the previous post.

I will start off with this:
I think American football is a stupid game. Why is there a select group of players whose sole job is to charge into the corresponding select group of players on the other team? A better strategy for the defending team would be to replace their linebackers with agile, acrobatic people who can outmaneuver the opposing linebackers and swarm the QB. I must admit, though, I am not very knowledgeable in the area of American football. What do you think?
