I hope Nick doesn't screw his own game up like some other developer had. Come on Nick! You know what we want, and you know what is the best for your game. Just do it!
As a GM of a (tiny) guild, I've personally heard much more hate about heating 4* items fully in order to craft them up to 5* items than I have about heating 5* items.
Increasing the 4* Fire Crystal drop rates in Tier 3 makes it cheaper to heat 4* items all the way up, so it indirectly allows you to make more 5* items faster.
Not to say I like the change. (Then again, I can actually afford to craft crystals down by a few star levels.)
But giving people Radiant Fire Crystals means you can craft them back down to Shinning Fire Crystals. Having only Shinning Fire Crystals means that you can only heat 4* items, instead of 4* and 5*.
In my other thread I said that they decreased it so that people would get shinings and would have a head start by doing it earlier.

My post took place about two hours and thirty minutes after the one of Hellscreams. It put it above maybe two topics. Your post, on the other hand, took place about two days after mine. Don't be so hypocritical.
I find it rather obvious. They made most 5* ones 4* to make sure that people can actually get the Obsidian items in time. What about after the event? I think it will stay like this for a while to make people use energy to buy Radiants they need oh so much for their new weapons.
