ATM

JK - 40 runs (~1160 boxes open)
Twins - 9 runs(~288 boxes open)
Total - 49 runs(1448 boxes open)

results:
adv.orb - 2(JK)
elite orb - 7(6-JK;1-TW)

~ 1 orb/per 5,4 runs(160 boxes)

also i find strange that adv.orb looks more rare then elite oO

They nerfed them didn't they?

They nerfed them didn't they? Are they TRYING to repel new players from reaching Vanguard? >.>

Yes, yes they are, because the only way to advance to vanguard is to find orbs and you definitely can't still buy orbs with energy purchased with crowns.

I think that they try to milk

I think that they try to milk as much money as they can on event period, and i hope they *adjust* drop rates again , after it ends

Hang on, I'm thinking of something clever..

Seeing that is kinda depressing considering the amount of runs there.. I hope Orb drop rates get increased along with Raidiants soon..

I HAVE THINGS THAT NEED CRAFTING AND HEATING DANGIT!

This. I can think of no other reason why they would change the drop rates on a system that was universally (and reluctantly) accepted by players.

Old Rates

So far theyve changed two things.
Lower level orbs are more common (elites easier to farm, eternals no longer the only type you get in T3).
Adjusted drop rates.

Just for reference, I recorded around 1% drop rate before the update. They changed that (assuming the OP data is representative) to 0.3%.

The last thing to keep in mind is: The old crafting costs are still there from the supply depot. Don't like the occasional free crafting? Buy some orbs. I've noticed that if you are an endgamer it is more time efficient anyway to farm vana than it is to farm advanced or below orbs.

I decided to run Shroud of

I decided to run Shroud of the Apocrea last night. This happened: http://imgur.com/U9mbvYN

...Then I found another on the depth after that. I've been in both tier 2 and 3 for quite a while and I've yet to come across any elite orbs though.

I think it's funny how orbs got added and suddenly people think it's a sin to use ce to craft weapons.

Like, "Oh no! We can't use CE to make weapons, that's just barbaric! How could we possibly survive if we need to pay ce to get good gear!"

I suppose it's just a stubbornness and the desire to make the most amount of profit possible. I can't really blame people for thinking this way but sometimes it's just not worth the grind to get them for free.

I have found a few elites, and 1 eternal since the update (and a lot of the 3* ones, forget the name right now). This is more than what I got before, a free craft is a good craft.

It would make more sense if they sold the orbs in single units instead of 3s. This further feeds the player's desire to farm it than to buy it--why buy all 3 orbs when I only need 1 more to craft?

Of course I could use the remaining orbs later, but what matters is the cash on hand now and it costs too much to pay for all 3 orbs at once when I could just farm for the last orb I need.

I wouldnt mind packs of 1, if you only need 1 you could buy it but the pack of 3 would be cheaper (lets say 3 eternals=800ce, while 1 eternal=300ce).
