Title: Spiral Knights
Genre: Free to Play, Dress-Up & Massively Multiplayer

Spiral Knights is a massively multiplayer online dress-up game created by Three Rings Design and published by Sega. The knights equip accessories to aid them in their battles against the boringness found on the planet Cradle. When they're not scrolling their invisible control panels at the Auction House, knights talk and spin with their friends in order to get rid of the boringness.

The game has an beautiful art style and a friendly community. I strongly recommend people who love the dress-up genre to play this game.

Score: ★★★☆☆

So, can we ban you now?

... boringness, what are you talking about? Spiral knight is about experimenting with the weapons and armor combination, no about dress up. Dress up is what you do after you got a decent bank and good arsenal that help you cope with any situation in clockwork. Adding stuff to you gears only serves to look good.

This game is simple and fun, easy to play and you can drop in and drop out of any game party as long as they are not locked. I recommend this game to anyone who likes unique style, chibi stuff in general and some good ol' hack and slash gameplay.

Overall verdict:
Style: 3.9/5 (I would have given higher if not for the totally unoriginal battle sprite and Apocrean designs)
Fun-ness 4.2/5 (you can get quite into it for a while trying to get all the good stuff. but the grind will get dull eventually.)
Community-friendlyness 3.9/5 ( the PvP section of this community is like a sewage, and the rest are fine, as long as you don't beg.)
Pay to win ness: 2.5/5 (for the most part, getting the stuff you needed won't cost you too much in real life, other than time.)
Developer intellect: {censored} <---that should give you the idea

Overall: 3.84/5 a decent game, but could have been ALOT better if not for the small developer company and the stingy SEGA.

Ban Me Straight Away!

http://www.vg-leveldesign.com/level-layout-types/

I believe the Linear level design is currently implemented for SK. Personally, I find the Linear level design very repetitive and boring. It may be fun for new players, however boring to old players.

As stated from the website "Open world flow models are becoming much more common place in games these days; with many action games giving you freedom to explore an environment and decide on the best way to tackle the challenge using their own initiative. Rather than having a specific start and end area, the player could start in multiple places and end the game when ever they fulfil certain criteria such as completing certain objectives. A benefit of this Flow model is that it allows the player the maximum amount of freedom that a level designer can give them; You set them an objective and they can tackle it in any way they like. "

This is exactly what we need. Open World Cooperative Levels. The new prestige mission, Shroud of the Apocrea, showed positive feedbacks and results on playability and difficulty. I believe new open world level concepts like Shroud of the Apocrea will allow greater mission variety, challenge, and re-playability in SK.

When you're this swag this world just bows at your knees.

I can't really name many online games that don't have a large array of customisable options for your character.
