I have the Acheron, Sentenza, and Graviton Vortex. Two of those three weapons have been rendered obsolete with one of the three made ridiculously unbalanced. It is silly that I have to make a brand new weapon to craft something slightly better than what I have. Graviton was made useless when the Electron Vortex was released to begin with so this is a little infuriating.
TLDR: Don't waste my time and let me use my now useless 5* weapons

In what way? You still have to work for the sigils. You just did even more NEEDLESS work getting the 4* items into their pre-Apocrea 5* versions. If anything, you did more work.

This'd be a nice addition, but honestly all this "ultimate 5* promo" carp gets more and more gimmicky each time I pass it by.
I have to dedicate x time on x dates for x OP/ god-mod weapon. I understand that events need to be special and all that jazz, but honestly, when multiple games have gone for this extremely safe formula as an economic booster, it gets tiring to look at. If I've dedicated enough time to essentially get the pre-reqs that would be required for something that makes anything of mine utterly obsolete, I'd enjoy the consideration of something to redeem past hard work to save myself too much extra time fighting a clock for something that would've been rightfully mine to begin with were it an option.
tl;Dr: make something obsolete, at least make some recompense to dedicated players. Even if it were just half the sigils required or something, that'd be nice.

When you think about it, the Obsidian vs. original is extraordinarily similar to the Ultimate sprite skill choices. Perhaps we need weapon 'reset stars' in the near future if this Ultimate 5* concept is to be used more.
