Well I am stuck between two choices. I am starting a new charcter with my two friends and we are recording it for youtube.

I have decided that I want a elemental brandish weapon and im stuck between chosing a Combuster or a Glacius. I dont really do pvp so a voltedge is out of the way and a Achereon is a shadow weapon. I have used a glacius on my main account and is probably my most used weapon. But ive heard that a Combuster is very strong and I've never used a fire weapon. I need peoples advice about the two weapons so I can make my final decision.

Combuster is the general use brandish in my opinion. Its charge has the ability to hit all blasts which greatly increases its damage over the others, even against fire mobs.

Glacius on the other hand is the safest brandish at the cost of missing a few blasts. The freeze can be a life saver when you are in a tight squeeze but it lacks to charge damage of the others due to its freeze.

Really it comes down to how you play. If you like to play it safe go with the Glacius, while if you want to get that last bit of damage go Combusters. My choice is the Combuster though as you never need to dodge something that is already dead. If you have any questions about swords Bopp's sword guide is a great place to look.

ASI MAX Combuster

You will play safer using this than a Glacius. I use it almost every run I do, and you should too.

I would suggest Glacius for newer players, because it's easier to kite enemies around with it and take things slower. Combuster just is the more efficient choice if you just want to make things dead.

My advice is honestly just to pick your favorite color: Red or Blue. You'll get used to your choice either way and they're both perfectly viable weapons.

So, here's my piece of advice. Are you gonna do a lot of FSC/KoA/Vana? Get glacius. You gonna do a lot of T3-T2 arcade? Get Combuster.

>Implying you use a charge attack when you're cornered instead of shield bashing or dashing or shield bumping or ANYTHING else that would have been better to not get yourself absolutely demolished in that situation.

Well of course I use a charge attack when I'm cornered. The Combuster sends them flying across the room while I sit down, have a bag of nachos, drink some tea, and charge up my Combuster again.

Shield bashing only works if your shield is uninjured, and I saw you miserably die a few times to conserve your shield. dashing is 2 mainstream4meh, but more seriously if you're cornered, you can't necessarily dash out, as there isn't always enough room. Shield Bumping won't work if the enemies have more enemies behind them.
