So I usually go around the wiki to look at armors I can combine with helmets.
While I was looking at helmets I got to the ones that were "Costumes" and I saw that the Super Brawl Crown had a new icon...
We all know OOO brought back Slooms and soon we will have Tortodrones (maybe even Vog Cubs) and they might bring back old armors.
Since I'm a big fan of Cherub's look I typed in Google: "spiral knights cherub".
Then I saw something that said: "Cherub's Crown" and it was on the SK wiki. It also had a new icon. So did Cherub's Raiment and the Bracelet Shield thingy (damn I want one!).
Sooo... I have no idea if this means anything but I just thought I'd share this with you guys.

Those actually shouldn't have been updated on the Wiki since they're non-existent in-game. All of the icons were uploaded by two people on the Wiki, neither of them are Game-Masters, just people who apparently like to update non-existent equipment. You can even see the Third Troika, a weapon that has only been seen by one person has been updated by these two. Yet it has stats, and updated icon image, and more.
All the icons were updated along with the old ones. I figure it's just easy to take a picture of a 3D Model and apply a backdrop with it than to constantly come up and design/color the templates. A lot of it is just there because I'm pretty sure that the developers just did every piece of equipment so if they ever plan on using the assets, they have it there and don't have to work on it. (IE: Get it all done now so you don't have to do it later)
In fact, the Lockdown Equipment has updated icons but you can't see them in-game. It doesn't really mean anything.

Looking at the revision
Looking at the revision history, September 23 2013 a bunch of icons were updated by one user. Not just that crown and cherub's crown, but a lot of beta items that don't exist in the game. Perhaps 000 updated them so if they were ever inspected by players for whatever reason, they'd have a nicer looking icon.

This equipment is exclusive
This equipment is exclusive to Three Rings Staff. It is not available to players.
It may have hilariously overpowered statistics, be gear from the beta that didn't make it into the official release, or recognisable uniforms for the game staff.

What's your point?
It's a wiki. Anyone can edit the page... that's how a wiki works. Although OOO can make wiki pages themselves most of it is created by people that play the game.
