I've been using Mad Bomber for years, and only recently heard of the Chaos buff (had taken a long break)

Was curious as to whether or not I should switch to Chaos... I guess I've been hesitant due to having an iota of faith for OOO to do the right thing and either buff Mad Bomber, or nerf Chaos in some sense.

Though I suppose in a perfect world, I'd have max CTR UVs on my bombs, and simply use Mercural Demo. xD (not likely)

For reference, I do happen to use swords and guns semi often as sidearms.

Chaos got buffed to Mad Bomber while only having a Curse weakness which no one really cares about. Chaos has the ability to have max ctr, and VH dmg on all lvl 10 weapons. Getting Chaos is going to be a harder road as the magic line does not see buffs until 5*, but I feel it is worth it.

I really wouldnt mind a Chaos nerf, I had it pre-buff and it was perfectly viable as a hybrid set. On the other hand I also feel bombers need a buff as they seem to always get the short end of the stick in every major update.

You could always try googling it or make your own conclusions. The only difference between the two is that Chaos' buff applies to all weapons instead of just bombs but also has a Curse weakness.

Welcoe back.

Meet a crappy forge system and heating system while youre at it. It is gonna take WEEKS if you play moderately to make a full chaos set.

Well, it starts when you

Well, it starts when you realize you need elite orbs. That will set you down about 64k. After that, every time you heat an item, you need more and more crystals. It isnt a problem until you get to 4* though, when you have to heat past evel 5. It gets up tolike 40-60 crystals per pevel at 100%. Never go for anytthing besides 100%, you wipl fail.

Also, best of luck heating and leveling 2 piecsles of gear. Twice the pain. At least you arent dumb and trying to level 6 pieces like me.

Gl brah, and welcome back! Enjoy your stay.

As of the question

Seems like this thread is becoming more of a welcome back comity then a Q&A thread.

Mad Bomber really is only for those pure bombers out there. The only noticeable difference between Mad and Chaos is one is weak to curse while the other is not (Mad Bomber). Oh yeah, that and the fact Mad Bomber gives VH damage and charge time reduction to bombs only while chaos gives that exact same perk to everything.

How ever, as Wolfe-Knight has said, using the 2*-4* magic cloaks can be a bit of a pain in comparison to the 2*-4* demo suits. Unless you are more defensive in which case you will be fine.

I'd go with Chaos. It will take a while thanks to the forge but you would be better off with it. Even if you use bombs way more than those guns and swords you keep around for emergencies, you would probably be using bombs way more anyways just to cover more damage. As such making your emergency weapons nearly useless.

By the way, welcome back! Enjoy the time killers that have been kindly added in the past months!
