A very powerful what if

You know, I've been thinking. usually this is a very dangerous thing, but hey.
Anyways, does anyone else get the sense that Spiral Knights (if done right) could be a VERY successful animated show?
I mean there are several plots, so many options for unique characters, etc. I don't know about you folks, but I could definitely see Three Rings doing this.
Opinions? I'd love to hear them.

If it could be an animated show, I'd vote Artifice's Fanfic, "Intentions" or "Redemption".

It'd be awesome, but there's always the issue that nobody in SK actually has a voice. Even in the prologue video added just recently, it's captions and no voice. It'd be a big problem in something like an animated show, but I think giving them voices would ruin the magic.

I've always wondered why no one from the community has offered to make something like this yet.
I really don't see ANYTHING animated relating to SK, much less a series. It does seem like it'd do well though, you're right.
"I think giving them voices would ruin the magic."
That's strange, to me the lack of voice always seemed to be a sort of void in playing the game. Music would need to fill in for the lack of voices, and you'd have to concentrate on reading the text, which is seriously exhausting when you're a super lazy dude hah. Not to say the music ever did a bad job of filling in for voices; it's always been perfect in my opinion.
I think voices would be great if a series, animated or not, were to be created, though without mouths or even eyebrows I'd think expression showing would get to be a little difficult.

Well, If Three Rings, or whomever decided to make a series was devoted enough, the lack of changing facial expressions wouldn't be a problem. I imagine that some artistic license would go along with this, because expressions aren't that hard to imagine on our beloved knights. but coming back to showing expression, body language can indeed be powerful without facial expressions.
In my opinion reading the text could be a little annoying, but it's not like people don't already put up with that sort of thing for subtitles on anime.
I do agree with you that it is extremely rare to see anything animated when it comes to Spiral Knights. If I worked hard enough maybe someday I could animate, but I'd simply enjoy seeing other's interpretations and styles.
You ..do know someone by the name if serjinxable on youtube is already making an SK animation series....

They mean a cartoon on TV (I think)
not a show made by someone on youtube

And yeah he means for TV. do like Sejinx's series, quite enthralling (we know who you are, Solo).
Non the less a TV series would be a challenge due to
The rating. The game is T (weird, huh?) and they'd have to say where it came from.
As said above expressions would be trouble although some are available.
The graphics. Nuff said.
Voices would be a hit or miss.
And it's have to revolve around an over arcing plot, no? The core and all but the open ended finale would be....MEH.
A comic series would be nice though...any one thinking MANGA?

^ I've also thought about SK as a manga...I think it could work.

When I was doing laundry I thought of all the arcs.
Enter Cradle! The Great Crash Landing! arc
Noob missions
Snarby Arc
T2 Begins Arc
Hahn stuff, history
Royal Jelly Arc
Margle Arc! (filler)
Twins Arc
Go away and get stronger arc
T3 start arc

last arc (express the fact it's an open ended story)
Don't for get plot arcs!
Quite a few different fan-fictions can be made in the Treasure Vault, as there is a lot of space for different genres.
I'd imagine an animated show would do well, both as a show and a way of profit for Three Rings. The art style and feel of game is very fitting for the game, and I could imagine that it would carry over easily into a show. I've enjoyed Happapathy's Spiral Scenes comics in the past.
Considering what kind of company they are though, it wouldn't seem right. That's just an opinion.
