Just what the hell? These levels are simply unplayable, the delay is effin crazy! Its really freaking me out
(Edit): PS: That stage is BS; screw off. So nice to see character move on its own towards spikes and flames when you never call that to happen, seriously, that's freaking crappy. What's up with that dungeon?
Why does the Citadel lags so MUCH?
Well, I don't really lag that much in the Citadel. But it's quite noticable, when I play the levels in Mac OS X.
When I play the levels on Windows, I get almost no lag whatsoever. But Vanaduke on Mac OS X is really a slap on your face, especially on the 5th phase. The whole game starts to lag when Vana is using his fire attack (like a fire puppy) and this makes it sometimes a little hard to control your character.
"Lowering the game priority below 'normal' may also help in solving connection problems. It may, however, affect the game speed due to lowered overall game client performance. "
To Providence, this specific line is gave very noticable changes, thanks.
Sorry for the late reply, I never understand how to log in that forum.
The mac os X client may have graphical issues, as i can attest, although a restart of your computer can help. I think it has a memory leak issue, as the lag gets progressively worse over time. And I have a very powerful mac, one that can run games like league of legends while simultaneously simulating both operating systems without issue, and a stable, fast internet connection.
I 2nd that the game has a memory leak issue as my lag does get progressively worse. I would have to disconnect myself and restart my computer sometimes when it gets unbearable.
Please stop swearing. Swearing is not allowed anywhere on this forum.
The Citadel has a lot of things going on, lots of monsters and effects and whatnot, so that definitely contributes to lag and should be reworked.
However, you can reduce lag on your end by following the steps listed here: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Performance_issues_FAQ
Keep in mind that this is an MMO, so when you are playing at peak traffic times there WILL be lag no matter where you are.
