I don't know if this is happening to anyone else but the dmg I deal seems to randomly change on the mission rotting metropolis...
I'll be doin 170 with my dark thorn blade then it will randomly switch to like 48-80 dmg... Same for my cumbuster it does like 150?
Does anyone know why this happens?

Poison reduces your damage.

hitting a slime?

At the risk of insulting your intelligence, are you sure that the 48-80 number doesn't come from hitting a slime?

Yeah

I was hitting undead and sometimes it went above 80 but never near what I should have been doing... Kinda hard to get screenshots because it's random

When you said you 'poisoned yourself', what was the source? Undead breath has much stronger poison than brambles and undead swipes, for instance.

I've farmed Rotting

I've farmed Rotting Metropolis dozens of times and I always deal consistent damage with all my weapons. I use my Blazebrand's charge to kill zombies and it's never failed to finish them off with the fire after I've hit them with the full charge.

This might not be relevant

This might not be relevant but it's very similar. In the rotting metropolis I've noticed differences in certain weapons, usually 4*, and what damage they deal to what zombie/slime. The weapon in question was 4* Magma Driver.

I figured this might be addressed by the fact that different "types" of zombies will spawn in this mission, whether it's t2 zombies compared to t3 zombies, or if some are just bulkier/higher defense than others. I was always running elite so I have no idea if that mattered either.

I know zombies in the doube

I know zombies in the doube trojan room in FSC D25 have higher defense than the rest of the zombies on the levep. Maybe something similar is happening here?
