You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!
Right now, there is NO solution unless you make a script. I could try something like this, but it takes too much time.
There MIGHT be a way to trick Java into thinking the Desktop is somewhere else, thus making it save the pictures in a different place.

OKAY guys.
On your keyboard, there should be a key that reads "PrtSc". It may have other letters on it, but no one cares about those. Press it. Now open Microsoft Paint or some other picture editing software. Paste. Save. Win. Get a life. Lose it. Cry.

yes if your windowed
if your playing full screen the print screen would not work or rather it would but you'll probably end up with a black screen when you paste it although I have seen a successful print in full screen (I do not know how the user did that though), but yes what is typed in post #8 would also work, you just have to choose "save as" instead of "save" because "save" saves it to the last directory used whereas with "save as" you can choose your directory every time.

Mine is PrtSc. Windows 7 laptop.
As for fullscreen photos, try this on for size.
The temporary addition of Slooms due to a bug. So beautiful ;-;...

pal, the game has a screenshot feature, use it. manual screenshots don't work if you use fullscreen. also the game screenshots go directly to your desktop.

Might as well. it's right at the center. I just got it off that f12 cause I have a laptop.
There should be a tab there to let you change directory.
