I just got the Obsidian edge, and I started to feel like the charge was a little slow moving. I went to a guild mate who had an Acheron, and we both used our charges and the Acheron seemed to go faster. Is it just me, or is the Obsidian edge charge attack a bit laggy?

But it was both ways this time
When we tested them, I asked his opinion of it, and he said that the acheron seemed faster as well. In addition, I started my attack before his, and he ended his before mine ended.

So far, I can say that Obsidian Edge charges at about 15 charges per minute at CTR+0, ASI+6. I haven't tested it at higher levels of CTR. Anyway, this is probably in line with the charge rates for the other brandishes given by Lancer Knightz. It's conceivable that Acheron's charge rate has been nerfed; we'll re-test that, just to make sure.

I'm pretty sure any slowness
I'm pretty sure any slowness you're seeing is latency and the fact that the "explosions" from the Obsidian Brandish charge has a longer, grabbier animation than acheron's plain jane 'splosion.
Everything other players do seems faster. Shoot a magnus side by side. Your bullet will appear to go at a decent speed. Theirs will appear to be slingshotted out of the gun twice as fast as yours. This is just the crappy latency.
