How do you make a wizard? I'm kinda new to the game and still haven't figured out how people do this.

O.K. but
I've seen wizard things at the auction house and don't know if anyone can use them or just certain people. I thought you had to be a wizard class. What is with the wands? I've seen a post for them but not how to get them. Can anyone use them? Wearing a magic cloak would be neat.

Stryder11: Have someone make you the Magic Cloak and Hood for either 2k crowns per item or materials + tip. Refer to the wiki for materials required, and gather most/all of those yourself. You need to give your crafter mats plus 400 crowns and 50 energy to craft a 2* item, Magic Cloak/Hood being 2* items. These and the Owlite Shield that completes the "set" are items I'd recommend for any new player.
There are no equippable wands in the game, but there are some pretty silly glowing swords. I'm thinking one of the Brandishes.

I pretty well explained it. There are NO wizards. there are Magic Cloaks, Magic Hoods, and Wrench Wands. thats as close s you get.
BTW I want more of the wrench wand line. Not that I've ever used one... but I would. none of this, lets end at 2* crap. >.>

The closest thing to Wizards
In other MMORPGs, Wizards cast range spells on singular or multiple targets. Some Wizards/Mages cast healing support. Full time Gunners and Bombers are the closest class to mage jobs in Spiral Knights. There is no healer type class.
Full time gunners have their own armor which allow them to increase either gun attack speed or gun damage. Gunners have different types of guns that cause different sorts of single target damage. In some cases when you aim right, you can hit more than one target. Some guns do multi target damage.
Like wise, full time bombers have their own armor which allow them to decrease bomb charge time. For most part, full time bombers provide AOE (area of effect) damage and crowd control.
While there is a Magic armor line, the armor is for a particular type of defense rather than offense. Magic armor is also a popular costume. Armor can be mixed to enhance defense. Divine Veil is a popular helmet from the Magic line for people who use Faust/Gran Faust as their primary weapon.
The majority of players, however, use swords as their primary weapon and use guns or bombs for back-up, which is why you may see a proliferation of players in Wolver line gear.

I think I will....
I just got my Grey Feather Cowl and Mantle... Need a sweet looking staff of power to go with it.I suppose Wrench Wand will do for now.... if i want to look like a freakish robot-owl-wizard-man. >.>

From the OP's own mouth.. or... keyboard, or fingertips or whatever.
there are no classes. if you are talking about wearing "wizard" armor, thats one thing, but there are no wizards. I suspect that you want to wear a magic cloak and hood, however.
