Such as a poison in-ducing one, a stun one, and maybe a rare curse-inducing one (hence "maybe"). Please! These things are my babies!

For a troll thread, it's pretty boring. At least try to make it funny, okay?

This is exactly what they shouldn't do. Why should certain weapon styles have almost universal potential, and other weapon styles have nearly no potential?

See also: the Brandish line. It can pretty much do everything, mechanically speaking. And it can deal four different statuses in each respective upgrade, and it can use two of the three special damage types...

The only difference is that Alchemers have no normal damage, so they don't surpass normal-damage attacks against neutrally-resistant enemies... but the rest still stands.

I'm not saying I don't like diversity and the concept of being able to use whatever I want wherever I want without looking like a moron, but I'd only like this if all weapon lines eventually had the same treatment.

Except this ISN'T a troll thread. If it was, I would have added "Polarises" in the title.

If you're serious about adding stun (a more reliable subduing status than freeze) to a weapon that has no need for covering its weaknesses (because it doesn't have any) or adding the most damaging status as a very frequent chance on one of the highest damaging guns, then you need to think again.
