Hi there,

if you've come here it means that either you're ready to improve or you're a pro looking to criticize what is written here.
Nonetheless, I've started this series of tips and skills to help improve my fellow knights. These skills are what helped me become the player I am today, I am by no means the strongest but it's fair to say I can hold my own to some of the bigger names out there.

Today's lesson will be about predicting. It'll be focused on the striker class.
Predicting is really the most basic skill you'll have to master in order to effectively use your boost and make your opponent use his.
That being said, it should never be your aim to chase after your enemies and never to hit them.
Instead read their movement, gauge what type of player, they are. Do they rush in? Do they sit and wait? Are they sneaky?
When you've established the type of enemy you're facing don't hit them straight forward, rather focus your attack where you think your opponent will be.

It takes a bit of practice so don't get frustrated if it doesn't work at first. Don't let it faze you, when you've mastered it you'll read movements and see the game in a different aspect.

Until next time,

-Sci.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Interesting...

As a Recon, I cannot play Striker. However I may boost my skills for when I really do need it. (I.e. I need to get to the point ASAP because the enemy team WILL win.)

I will keep an eye on this thread.

Then there's awareness Then

Then there's awareness
Then there's timing
Then there's positioning
Then there's Rebel which has none of that

Yes! Offense-Armor agrees.

A simple tip to conserve your boost is to turn around and boost forwards when you want to run away. Boosting backwards is less efficient.

I play basically only play recon

I have a few tactics that I only really tell recons who I've seen prove themselves in the field (I'd rather a striker NOT know tactic X), but one of the best ones to utilize is random movement while cloaked. Your instinct says to run away to get health? Run towards the enemy, swerve, then take an alternative route. Surprise yourself. Since players assume you to be running in certain places, they may very well boost right past you. Another good tactic is to cloak, walk one way, turn a bit and stand still. The strikers will assume you ran away and ignore you. This works best when they DON'T come searching for you and wander into your deathmark radius. If they find you standing still, you'll most likely be more dead than if you were running.

Scirio, I hope you'll put thought into great tactics for all the classes! It would be great to see interesting, unknown, or revised tactics.

Lol it's hard to notice a recon's footsteps if he retraces them

And get off the alternative stuff.. trying to make yourself feel special?
