I wonder, remember when Nick did his 10 facts about spiral knights? Remember when he said that there was a development idea incorporating food and monsters? I understand if you give a player a weapon they will always try to solve a problem with it...but things like the tortodone that has a high chance of swinging back around in-game and are really deadly would make sense to create other monsters that are high risk monsters but could be avoided with this mechanic of distracting them with food.

I dunno, do you guys think it makes sense to completely scrap this idea? Or could there be chance with it?

The second "high righ monsters" sounds lie an idea

"Remember when he said that there was a development idea incorporating food and monsters?"

Battle sprite

"things like the tortodone that has a high chance of swinging back around in-game and are really deadly would make sense to create other monsters that are high risk monsters but could be avoided with this mechanic of distracting them with food."

Or maybe there could be split paths. One path with a message that gives a warning and then have the normal path through the level. There could also be the incentive of rare mats dropping from torto with a guaranteed drop rate, but the monster would have to be buffed and have attacks that would make the fight seem impossible.

Thats exactly what I'm saying! As for saying battle sprites are the outcome I'm talking pickup food, and throw it as a distraction type thing because lets face it, the majority of everything in PvP is generally easy to kill, devilites die in 4 hits with a flourish in elite, and if you know the right way to approach a greaver its both amusing and easy to take them out. But if you pour an over buffed, behemoth that is ruthless in how it attacks when provoked I gaurentee you you'll pick up that burger and toss it at the behemoth just to move on in the clockworks.

Over buffed enemies are actually really cool to me, because for 1 if anyone could defeat it they need to have either really good footwork along with a solid tactic or just very overpowered armor and weapons to get through the monster.

Not to mention I have a particular love for giant monsters roaming around areas of mystery.

I have no mouth and I need to scream.

I wouldn't mind this actually! But the tortodrone never attacked anyone from the get go unless you striked first. But the high risk high reward would definitely be worth it for taking down something thats near impossible. Maybe it will actually encourage people to partner up in arcade runs if a group could randomly stumble into a powerful enemy thats not a boss.

And the warning before taking on these monsters is a plus. Food distraction could be anything really...what do giant monsters like eating again?

I just hope we dont get a certain someone to make a thread complaining about a new hard enemy thats suppose to be difficult and it lasts for 7 pages.
