Simple question:
I have a recipe for a brute jelly hat, and I have my own jelly hat atm.
Is it worth my while lvling up my current jelly hat to lv10 before I use it to craft the 3* Brute one, or will there be no new benefits after lv5? I don't want to miss out on some extra benefit by crafting early, but at the same time I don't want to go and sit and lvl it to 10, then realise I was wasting my time.

There are no benefits to leveling it up with heat at all. For crafting 3* gear, as soon as you have the 2* version, you should turn it into the 3* version as soon as possible.
