Question for Arcade 'gate administrator'

Why are there so many fiend themed gates? These guys are incredibly obnoxious, and don't encourage me to play in the arcade... Is it possible to limit fiend to 1 or 2 gates MAX? I understand that fiends are a challenge, and there is a lot of complaining about how easy this game is... but some of us still like to play casually. Fiends are not casual, and should not show up on every single gate, on nearly every stratum (and please limit shock and fiend together, it's to frustrating to play with shock fiends.). Thanks.

I can't be the only one that hates fiends... or am I?

gotta say the same for compounds level too, having two - three compounds in a row on one gate, isn't that great?
Someone need to shout the system, that we don't like compounds so please stop assume it as just another clockworks tunnels that everyone doesn't have a hate.

Compounds are long an boring in my opinion. I think the mini monsters should show up in regular depths too, even FSC, JK, RT. Also think bombies or almirian knights should show up in FSC.

It would add diversity. Suggested it months ago and people liked it but not a word from OOO.

What you guys are complaining about are actually fun!

Sure, fiends weren't meant for casual gamers, but fiends are so annoying and so unpredictable, it makes them fun. The relentlessness of the greavers, the annoyance of the devilites, and the unpredictability of the gorgos. In a nutshell, fiends are the only monsters that really make you try.

Same with compounds, the swarm of mini-monsters followed by lumbers and mecha knights makes it a fun and interesting challenge for your skill thresholds.

Fiends however give out the Crest of Ur at 5* that makes the Chaos set and the Gran Faust, some of the most devastating gear in the game. Also, in compounds, most people fail to realize that mini-monsters have a chance for payout, I once got 2 Primal Ores from a pack of Snow Bunnies.

@Gianor: I'm not saying that fiends should not be in the arcade, they should, for sure! However, players should have the choice to NOT play vs. fiends. That way, I can play casually, and still have fun. For me; Fiends = NOT FUN. I think that not more than half of the gates (read, 2. 1 fiend gate would be fine), should be fiend based.

@OOO: I do not like them in a box. I do not like them with a fox. I will not pet them in a house. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them plain EVERYWHERE! I would not, could not in a tree! Not in arcade! You let me be.

Grab an Antigua, Voltaic Tempest, Stagger Storm, or Dark Briar Barrage, and you're good to go.

Keep in mind, during the whole period of time before Missions existed, many players favored making Fiend Strata before the oh-so popular Firestorm Citadel stratum.

Antigua in T3? ouch. VT gets me killed vs. fiend. I don't have SS or DBB... bombs in general get me killed vs fiend, except in T1.

Thanks for the tips, but you're missing the point: OOO gate system should not generate 'purely' fiend stratums. (I know they are not purely fiend... but they are HEAVY on the fiends right now, and have been for a while. T1, T2, T3 for every current gate have fiends... I think...)

I thought players made fiend strata to be annoying... :)

Dealing with fiends

Invest in gun damage and charge time reduction. Also invest in a blitz needle.

I love fiend stratas!

They make the game difficult for sure, but most of the fiend stratas right now hold dark cities with the finale being stygian steeds, my favorite level in the game.
The only thing that will work against you in fiend stratas is not having shadow defense. If you're dodging everything, great! If you know you'll get hit, without shadow defense, you'll get hit hard.

But aside from my favorite monster family, I agree that a little bit more variety in enemy and statuses wouldn't hurt the arcade. It's better now than the poisoned blizzard caused by the battle sprites, but without player input the gates are just whatever the random number generator decides. Three Rings is going to add player stuff back to gate creation, but until then we can pray to the random number goddess.

@mystrian: Please stay on topic. This is not about 'how' to defeat fiends, it's about OOO gate system creating practically fiend-only gates. We should have a good mix of everything, not just fiend.

You can give tips as an afterthought, but let's try to stick to the original post.

What yvanblo MEANS its that there should be gates with differents options of levels to play instead having a SPAM LEVELS OF FIENDS on EVERY gate on T3. i really like to do arcade and dont have troubles dealing with fiends, but honestly gets boring for me to watch 3 gates in T3 having ONLY FIENDS THEMED LEVEL. how about to play some T3 gremlins, T3 Beast ?? since teh arcade redux i havent seen any good arena in T3 which is sad or a nice diversity of levels in T3.

would be kinda nice to have different levels in T3 that isnt only fiend. its get pretty old and one of the reason why im not playin a lot like before, because the lack of diversity in arcada now.

They finally fixed the Arcade Blizzard, now you're complaining that there's fiend levels? They're going to cycle out, just be patient.

I don't think that there's a "Gate administrator". If there was, then sloom levels wouldn't have appeared in the first place.

Back on topic. Yes, currently gates have fiend stratums. Just be glad that the whole arcade has transformed into gates with shock-fiend stratums.

If you didn't knew OOO was bad with RNG then you never looked at the Featured Auction -_-

I will always remember that 1.4m cr Sprinkle Aura 1 day before the cake event... Real good RNG..... Or the RNG isn't RNG at all and this guy is doing all the work

But it's quite laughable

Honestly, the only fiends I find even somewhat annoying is Greavers and Freeze Fiends. The regular business working fiends, simply use Polaris or Shivermist Buster ( ask someone accompanying you to Blitz dem while you Shiv ) and it's really easy. As for greavers, well, you'll have to rely on your skill with that piercing weapon, shield, dash, and use of that deadly Dark Retribution ( <<<< actually helps a lot. DR orbs can interrupt Greavers).

As for your arcade issue, I have nothing to say but I like trains.

Fiends are annoying, Gorgos especially. Lots of damage and rapid attacks AND unpredictability... they are definitely one of the strongest groups of monster in the clockworks. However Greavers are pretty easy, their main weakness: corners. Stand in a corner and keep slashing with your sword and they will get knocked around so much they cant do anything, great in fiendish fray and cadaverous clash arenas where theres four Greavers or more in a group
