If you have 100 mistenergy is tier one worth running through completely? How much will it get you for loot and stuffs?? :P
Is tier 1 worth your energy?
It is worth... if you cherry pick a little:
- do danger rooms and floors where they are likely to be present
- select arenas (and maybe deconstruction zones)
- select gates so as not to pay each time you run directly from T2
If you want shards, which actually sell decently well in the auction house, you'll get more in tier 1 than in tier 2, but tier 2 will net you more rare materials because you can get up to 4* stuff there, but tier 1 is limited to 2* materials.
Tier 1 is also a nice, safe place to fool around with new weaponry, so I like to play it when I've got unfamiliar equipment.
I play tier 1 on an alt from time to time, just to have fun trying out different low-level gear, but with lower risk comes lower rewards. Tier 2 is more difficult, but gives the chance to earn more crowns are rarer materials.
f you desperately need crowns for something (like a recipe you covet), play deeper tiers. If you just want to mess around for an hour one day, you may have more fun relaxing in tier 1 than risking death in deeper levels. Do what you think is fun, and don't worry about profits on every one. Mist energy is free, so you can afford to take lower rewards if you enjoy doing something.
not only that, if you plan to run say JK all week, it might be worth considering running t1 once to not get a 200CR entry fee.
@ lawlz what do you mean? How do i run JK runs?
When a gate first opens, you have to run through levels 1 through 7 in order to have free jumps to Moorcroft. If you do not do that, you will get dinged 200cr every time you go directly to Tier 2.

It's a little hard to say what I made because I accepted auction house money while I was down there, but, I was running T1 to unlock the jelly king T2. I got a deconstruction zone and two danger rooms, so I'm sure I made more crowns than the cost of 60 CE... probably not by much. From similar runs that I've done in the past, I'm going to guess I took 5k crowns outright. And now I don't pay 200 for JK runs, plus I found some light shards, swordstones, and owlite feathers, among other things. And I had equipment that needed heat anyway, and I got decent heat because of the danger rooms.
Of course, that's a really good T1 run profit-wise, most T1 runs are not that good!
@SkyGazer
JK run are Jelly King runs (tier 2). While it changes week to week, you can figure out which date has it by scrolling down to find purple castle (jelly palace) icons in the gate map. This week is golden eagle gate I believe, and if you have not done tier 1 for golden eagle, you will have to pay 200 crowns for simply skipping to tier 2. For tier 3, its 500 crowns.
thanks i didnt know that :P So i suppose when i can go to tier 2 i will be doing JK runs for a while :P see u guys there!
Tier 1's money isn't that bad. You'll get a few thousand crowns on a good run, if you clear out the optional Danger Rooms.
It's just, Tier 2's money is better.
