Apocrean Realms
Obsidian stone clicked beneath their boots as Astran and Eva stepped through the portal. They quickly realized that they were atop a high tower, nearly a hundred stories above the ground. In front of them stood another building, equal in height and similarly imposing. Astran scratched his head. "Got any ideas?"
"We could jump."
"Isn't that a bit risky?"
"If there were an entrance up here, we could use that instead."
"There probably is." Astran glanced around for one, and when he looked back at Eva, she looked ready to take the jump. "WAIT! Don't do it Eva!" She shot him a confused look. "Yes, commander? Is there a problem?" Astran crossed his arms. "You bet there's a problem! Didn't we just conclude that the jump was risky?" Eva stepped away from the edge. "Yes, but is it riskier than possibly getting cut to shreds and our souls ripped from us by the beings inside the building?"
Astran had to think about that for a moment. "Yeah. Yeah, I guess you're right. Let's take the jump. I'm not sure I can make it though." Eva scoffed and unceremoniously hauled him over her shoulder. "I can." She started to run towards the edge against Astran's protests.
And he didn't stop protesting when her feet touched the floor. "Sir, you can cease your protests now," she said coldly. Astran slipped off her shoulder, glanced around, and nodded. "Okay...not bad. Ahem!" He brushed himself off and gripped the hilt of his sword. "Why is it so quiet?"
Eva sheathed her sword. "Because I took care of the threats." Astran looked at her, then down at the black figure laying at her feet. He nearly jumped out of his skin once he realized what it was. "AUGH! What's that!?" Eva sifted through its equipment. "It's an Apocrean. Will that be a problem, sir?" Astran cleared his throat and replied, "Um, no, not at all. Carry on."
He explored the rooftop for a while, and eventually found an access hatch. "Hey, Eva! I found a hatch!...Eva?..." She didn't respond. He got up and glanced around, but still didn't see her anywhere. "EVA!!" he shouted, and Eva popped up from behind a generator. "Yes?"
"Ugh, don't scare me like that!"
"Like what?"
"Like...what you did! Disappearing on me!"
"My apologies, sir."
"What were you doing?"
"I was examining this device here. I can't make heads or tails of it."
"Lemme have a look." Astran strode over to it and gave it a look-over. He felt around it until he found attachment points and gently pulled off the covering. Inside, he found only a small, glowing crystal, connected to the bottom with a tentacle of some kind. "That's pretty neat," Astran quipped, and he could tell by Eva's low whistle that she agreed.
He tugged her arm and started towards the access hatch. "Come on, I found a way in." He lifted the hatch, but before he could step in, Eva shoved him aside and dropped in first. "H- hey! What's the big deal?" he protested. Eva took him by the feet and lowered him to the floor. "With all due respect, I'm more combat-capable than you are. It's my job to make sure the place is secure," she replied matter-of-factly. Astran would have protested, but thought better of it and just shrugged instead.
Long, winding tunnels and narrow passages characterized the pathways through the tower. More than a few times, Astran nearly fell down the occasional long drops, and Eva caught him every time. Not once did she scold him, though goodness knows she wanted to. This woman...never ceases to amaze me.
They crawled out into a massive room, lit with strange purple runes and sparsely decorated with lampstands along the walls and a large chair at one side of the room.
And someone familiar was tied up in it.
"Elesis?"

Race: Fallen Angel
Abilities: Dark Throw(acts like a boomerang, deals shadow damage), Teleport, Rising Darkness (When crowded, he summons a dark barrier of souls that serverly damage foes, deals normal/shadow damage), Summon (Summons stronger almirian royal guards but are called Dyullahan that can use a giant dark chest laser (Only 1 per hour), Raining Shadows, (Launches multiple dark energy souls at enemies, deals shadow damage) and Shadow Geyser (Summons 4 dark geysers that burn anyone that touches them and makes Amothyst invincible until they run out
Personality: Calm, prefers not to attack (That's why he summons guards.), loves to teleport around, usually monologues and smart.
Biography: Amoethyst is a mystical demon that got summoned when the dark portal opened and all the creatures in the dark portal already never attacked him or his guards. Amoethyst did the same by not attacking but the fact he couldn't move naturally was a problem and had to use teleportation to move.
((OOC: Amoethyst has about 20,000 HP and has next to no defense (about the same as a T1 Jelly) but he deals more damage and can't move naturally.)

Species: Valkyrie (Is Eva a Valkyrie? If not, I need to change the species. xD)
Loadout: Seraphic Mail and helm, with a Avenger.
Personailty: Shy, but very kind. He is the kind to volunteer for suicide missions, because he doesn't want others who have loved ones to die, whereas Grynevium doesn't have any loved ones.
Biography: Being born from regular Valkyrie parents, he was actually classmates with Eva in school. He had a crush on her, and was about to ask her out when a young Recon Ranger took a liking to her. Sad, he continued with his life, and signed up for the Fallen Valkyrie Extermination Unit, which Eva commanded. By then, Gray's love for Eva still never wavered. But then he saw Astran marry Eva, and he grew into a more serious depression. After a few more counselling sessions, he was ready to get on with life....until he saw that he was to be in a squad, commanded by Astran and Eva.

The Valkyries play a VERY SMALL role in this story. Probably the ONLY Valkyrie you'll ever see is Gabe, and that very rarely. I do NOT need anymore Valkyrie apps.
What I need is ordinary humans and MAYBE Fallen minibosses.

So far, we know Elesis is tied up so her soul will be harvested by an Apocrean Harvester. Amadeus Grimmoire is involved and finally Elesis will tell Astran and Eva why she got there. I know it takes a while to make the next part but the other parts where faster.

First off, the apps are closed, in contrast to the others (namely Game of Death, where Alec joined months later :P).
Also, I only see Thin posting stories. Is it a different style of posting? Like we submit our peeps and you make stories out of them? That DOES solve a few problems (like infrequent updates).

@Deadly-Sin-Revenge: Patience! I've been busy. Job interviews, work, school, the works. Oh, and Metroid Prime 3. But I'm writing up the next chapter now, and you might like it.

2. It is indeed different, but not quite in the way you've described. Basically, I have an overall story in mind, and I'd normally have to create my own characters. But if I hand over character creation to the players, then I don't have to worry about it as much.
My story 'No Safe Haven,' for example, is just a story about weavers vs. ordinary people. The protagonists, Taric and Carter, were developed by other players, and I selected them because they fit neatly into the story.
Now, if a character app is sufficiently compelling, I may actually tweak the story to fit the character. Carter is a prime example; I'd originally intended for the hunter (the person hunting the protagonist weaver) to be a villain, but Playerman's character Carter felt more like a conflicted protagonist instead of a villain, so I changed that part of the story.
3. Not necessarily. Humans could theoretically use magic (or 'weaving' as it's called here); in fact, Astran is a latent weaver. I just don't want anymore Valkyries, that's all.

Rescue the damsel in distress...again...useless baggage...
"Elesis!?" Astran exclaimed.
Yup, you heard right. That's Elesis sitting there. You see that, reader? Dang, she's cute- *ahem* Back to the story. "Astran! Boy am I glad to see you! Get me outta here before they eat my soul!" she cried. Astran wasted no time trying to free her. Metal cuffs held her to the chair by her neck, wrists, and ankles, and no amount of cutting was going to loosen them. He looked around for a switch of some kind; surely 'they' (whoever 'they' were) disposed of the bodies once they were done with them? If so, they had to be able to release the bodies somehow. Eva reluctantly joined him in his search, but even together, they were unable to find it. And all the while, Elesis was screaming bloody murder, occasionally pausing to complain of an itch on her back.
Strangely enough, nobody was worried until she stopped screaming.
"Astran, there's a Reaper standing behind you," Eva said quietly. Astran turned stopped his search and turned around to find himself facing a long, black cloak. He cleared his throat and said, "Excuse me mister, but do you mind moving out of the way please?" The Apocrean Reaper obliged him, and Astran continued his search. The problem didn't dawn on him until a few moments later.
"AAAAAUGH! RUN AWAY!" he screamed as he ran back to Eva's side.
"AAAAAUGH! GET ME OUTTA HERE!" Elesis screamed in unison.
"AAAAAUGH! WILL EVERYONE STOP SCREAMING!?" Eva bellowed.
Driven more by a desire to stop the painful ringing in her ears rather than by any regard for her own safety, Eva whipped out her Divine Avenger and charged at the Reaper. The monstrous creature summoned a mass of tentacles from the ground and began to assault her from all sides. Eva danced around their attacks with the grace of a swan, and when the moment was right, she cut them down with two precise cuts from her sword. Now hurt and enraged, the Reaper fired its tractor beam at her, intent on consuming her soul.
But Eva could not be contained. With a few well-placed steps and a quick roll, she slipped away from the beam and began charging her sword. As the Reaper tried to fire the beam again, she leaped into the air, swung onto the creature's head, and drove her holy blade into its head.
She then unleashed the charge.
In a flash, it was all over. Broken, rotting tentacles lay scattered on the floor, and among them stood Eva, tired, but victorious. Astran never felt more ashamed of himself or prouder of his partner. "Hey, Eva? I'm sorry I was so...cowardly. I wish I could have been more useful."
Eva sighed and stared at the roof. Maybe his powers are just dormant right now. There's gotta be some reason I was paired up with him. She put her hand on his shoulder and said simply, "Okay. Don't sweat it."
Elesis suddenly piped up, "Hey, you guys gonna free me or what?" Astran and Eva looked at each other, shrugged, and continued looking for the release switch.

Race: Human
Items and Abilities: Nitronome, Big Angry Bomb, Irontech Destroyer, customized Mad Bomber suit, customized Mad Bomber Helm, a Elite Bomb Focus Module and a Elite Boom Module. Able to place down bombs and kick them. (The customized Mad Bomber set is a different color and the helm is slightly different.)
Personality: Extremely aggressive (Attacks first, questions later), bit stupid (From a lack of sleep), paranoid about sleeping (in case he dies when asleep), also prefers to attack fast and very frequently, almost never talks, rarely friendly to people and rarely trusts anyone.
Biography: Wrath was always aggressive and mastered using bombs at a very young age. As he was getting older, he eventually got so aggressive, he would attack anyone that looked at him. It got to a point where everyone left the town he was in and left him alone. Wrath started to lose sleep when he nearly died in a dream and thought that if you died in a dream, you die in real life.
He started to stay awake but he started to walk into walls and sometimes walked into walls or even kicked bombs too late. This however, made his armor stronger to bomb blasts and some people even tried to take over his mind but failed because of his anger. He started to explore and accidentally went into a dark portal...

Race: Spiral Knight, because they are NOT humans
Appearance: his left arm is robotic, has short brown hair, blue determined eyes, miracle hood and cloak.
Abilities: robot arm can turn into a fast gun or a sword
Personality: Understanding, eager for excitment, often kind
Biography: at the age of 1, dozens and dozens of hostile gremlins chased after his parents, they had stolen something of importance to them, and they could not hold back much longer, so they went to Emberlight. They told the gremlins there to hide Rasfie, and protect him until he would be ready. Most of the gremlins dicided not to take Rasfie for themselfs but a married couple of gremlins dicided to keep him and raise him. His mom handed them Rasfie and then his parents ran away to try to get away from the hostile gremlins.
That was the last Rasfie saw of his parents, he had never acually learned their names.
The Hostile Gremlins took a way around Emberlight and started going down the clockworks to search for them, but they never found them. Rasfie had learned a lot with the Emberlight gremlins, and even found out he is a natural tinker and constructer.
His first building of a robot was when he was 5. He had been watching other gremlins build stuff and he wanted to join in, so he grabbed a bunch of spare peices of metal and took it into his house. He started weilding a bunch of peices together with a spare weilder he found, when his gremlin dad suddenly appeared to check on him and startled him, and sent the fire from the weilder right into his left shoulder and cut off his left arm. His gremlin dad gasped and ran over to Rasfie who started crying hard. He wasn't that ok, his face was also covered with ashes because he didn't know to use a weilder mask, his gremlin dad bandaged it and the next day, his gremlin dad put a robotic arm where Rasfie's left arm was. That night, he worked on his robot more and was finished (also he found a weilder's mask and used it this time). He turned it on and it worked.
When he was 18, he could go to the surface and start working for the spiral order. He packed his bags and went up to haven which he thought was beautiful when he first saw it, (after all, he had been living underground for 17 years) and started working for spiral order and has since been working for them for one and a half years.

Providing a preferring mini-boss app
Name: Dark Dragon
Gender: Male
Race: Undead Dragon
Abilities: Natural ability to fly, left head shoots freeze bolts, middle head shots curse bolts and right head shots fire bolts, can combine bolts to deal more damage, if one of the heads goes down, the other heads get stronger and tougher to defeat, when all 3 heads are gone, he blews up dealing tons of damage and can teleport from the apocrean world and the regular world
Personality: Left head is calm, middle head is aggressive and right head is intelligent, they occasionally work together but usually argue with each other. They are friendly to the creatures of the types of damage (Fire, freeze and curse).
Biography: The Dark Dragon was originally a regular dragon which had a problem with 3 heads. The 3 heads often argued and the main one (The right one that uses fire) often got distracted because of the bickering. The middle head never attacked and they died because of an argument during a fight. However, someone resurrected the Dark Dragon and this gave the middle head a move and made them better.
The Dark Dragon started to explore defeating the foe that killed them before and often worked with other undeads. The heads continued to argue but it wasn't as frequent and stopped when they where in a battle. They often shielded the weaker head by placing the others in front of the weakened one. The Dark Dragon teleported to the dark world if things got critical but they rarely retreated.
((OOC: Their is a reason for this app, the reason why is Astran and Eva can be affected by the Dark Dragon while Elesis barely avoids it. Since Elesis has fire powers, she could absorb the fire bolt from the Dark Dragon but Eva could be in bad condition because of curse and Astran would be frozen solid...))

Personality: Mindless and only a disire to cause disorder and disaster, prefers to summon lots of monsters before engaging to destroy the target.
Biography: little is known about the Chaos Kin, but what is known is that it is from a place called the chaos vortex, and he was imprisoned in a Place the size of a moon, before it was destroyed and it was let free.

Your boss is still too OP, I mean, have you fought 75 enemies in the game all back to back with a Mini-boss in it as well... Exactly, the max is 18 in the final wave of an arena. My Mini-boss has 3 different types of status moves that deal shadow (curse) and elemental (Freeze and fire). Thin can decide if your mini-boss is too strong.

Abilities: Natural ability to use fire (Fireballs, fire barrier and the sword burns people when hit.) Fire sword (Deals normal with a high chance of strong burn. Similar to Leviathan Blade.) agile, can split sword into 2 to deal double damage and put it back. (When split, can't deal fire damage.)
Personality: Calm, patient, a little bit stupid, a bit friendly, hates sister and often pushes her down and makes her sound useless.
Biography: As Elsword started to grew up, her sister Elesis, was born and he got annoyed and often lost concentration when he was practising. He got so angry he started to bully his sister and never helped her because he was angry at her when she was a baby. When Elsword got to 13 (Elesis was 8 at this point in time), he got a pet and he named it Willard.
When Elsword was old enough to leave, he took his pet with him which was able to carry a spear (Basically a battle sprite). Elsword started to defeat tough foes with his pets and nearly lost a few times. When Elsword saw his sister exploring when she was old enough, he still discouraged her and pushed her down if no-one was around. No-one has seen Elsword for a while and everyone wonders where he is just now

Gender: Male
Race: Beast Battle Sprite
Abilities: Willard Slash (Launches a powerful slash with his spear (similar to leviathan blade charge)), slash dash (Charge attack for spear) and block (Puts spear in front of him and takes less damage).

Next problem: getting out of there!
The release switch for Elesis' bonds turned out to be in the seat itself. Needless to say, getting to it was rather awkward, and Elesis wouldn't stop giggling about it afterwards.
The three of them stepped out into the street. The still air felt hot, thick, and sticky, and so great was the silence that even their soft footfalls seemed like trumpets in the darkness. "HEY EVERYONE!! WHAT'S UP?" Elesis shouted, startling Astran and Eva so much that they both stumbled and plugged their ears. "Shushhhhh!" Astran whispered angrily. But Elesis wouldn't shush. "Why? It's empty," she retorted. He really felt like punching her in the face right about now.
Thankfully, he didn't have long to consider it, because it seems that the place wasn't so empty after all. Apocreans of all shapes and sizes stepped outside to gaze upon the impetuous newcomers. Suddenly, Elesis didn't feel like talking anymore. Astran giggled nervously and waved. "Uh...heh heh, hi everyone! Ah, we're just- just...uh...passing through. Don't mind us." Eva planted her hand on her sword hilt, saying nothing, but looking grim and ready for battle. Elesis just curled up and made herself look as small as possible.
Under the curious eyes of the roadside denizens, they made their way to the city gate without incident. Once they stepped onto the highway, Astran realized that something was amiss. He couldn't figure it out until he stepped up to the edge of the road and looked past the railing.
Nothing.
No, really, there was nothing there. The city they'd just left was levitating in mid-nothingness, as was the highway they were walking on. He stepped back, visibly shaken by what he'd just seen (or rather, not seen). "What's the matter?" Eva asked him. Astran stuttered out, "Th-th-there's n-nothing there!" He pointed to the edge of the bridge, so Eva and Elesis stepped over for a look. Eva just nodded and grunted in agreement, but Elesis freaked out. "WHAAA!? OH NO OH NO OH NO! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? GET ME OUT OF THIS PLACE ASTRAN! PLEASE? I LOVE YOU, I'LL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU, JUST GET ME OUTTA HERE!" she shrieked as she shook him by the shoulders. He shoved her off and grabbed her arms. "Elesis, stop. Don't worry, we'll get out of here. Just don't climb over the railing, and you'll be fine, see?" She whimpered and nodded, visibly calming down a good deal.
And she would have stayed that way had not the MASSIVE guardian golem of the town suddenly teleported into view. Elesis began screaming again as the golem raised its house-sized fist to smash them. Before it could bring down destruction upon our heroes, a familiar voice cried out, "BEGONE!!" And in a brilliant flash of light, the golem shattered and rained a storm of dust onto the road. Eva and Elesis looked around for the source of the voice until they realized that it was standing right next to them.
It belonged to Astran.

Me: *eyes bulges* "OH MY GOD! Stop! THAT is disgusting, get that thing out of my face!!!"
Aradama: *sneers*"Hmm, I thought you are a girl..."
Me: "No, I am a boy, so please, change back to who you were..."
Aradama: *sighs* "Your lost...." *turns back to its original form* "How many character apps did you post in total on the treasure vault forum anyway? Did any of them made it past..."
Me: "Nope... so far out of the four apps, none made it onto the paper, it makes me sad..."
Aradama: *grins* "You can write your own story you know..."

Well, most of what I guessed was wrong, but a dark city, it sounds like tons of devilites, Trojans, pit bosses (Maybe Antasma) and maybe Amadeus Grimmoire. Elesis wasn't mentioned but I am not surprised because you said she was a temp support character.
