Marvelous Miner + Master Miner achievements impossible to obtain?

I played this game starting about Dec 2011 and I definitely remember mineral deposits. There's even two achievements which can (supposedly) be obtained through depositing minerals.

Now I'm looking all over the place and I can't find anywhere to deposit minerals. They're now only used for sprite foods and even the Spiral Knights Wiki tells me that it's no longer in the game: Wiki page about gate construction, which says it's no longer in the game, and Release note which says gates are now randomised.

So is this now impossible to obtain? And should I take this to Technical Support? ;_;

Well that sucks. It still exists in my steam achievements list so surely I thought it would've been possible in some way.

Kinda bummed I can't get all achievements now.

they will last forever!

i have all achivments in spiral knights and would hat it if they would remove the achivment... the miner achivment tooked me longer than a year..
and i still want to have my heart rev achivments ^^ all players had enough time for the rev achivments(except the new players)

Well, the removal of the gate-making system was just to stop the endless amounts of poison and freeze levels made with valestone and moonstone that no Battle Sprite eats.

The Arcade redux is currently under development and phase 1 of it was the removal of the gate-making function. When it's finished no one knows, and sadly we don't even know if the gate-making system will be back in the upcoming phases of The Arcade redux.
