Character will not show up and Can not make new character because same reason

Hi there

Today i tried logging on to Spiral knights and it sorta worked , i selected my character like normal, and then for Shits and giggles i decided to spectate some Pvp cause i hadnt seen it before, But it froze up up so i closed out of it and restarted the Program but now its , I guess the term is broken?

after selecting a character Im taken to the next screen but its pitch black except for navigations and such as shown in picture below

so i thought maybe Going to the Bazaar might help but it didnt, it seems like i get trapped in a building

Or so i thought until i selected a mission and my character still wouldnt show up. So im at a loss here for what to do here

Can any one assist me with this problem?

Small update sorta, I

Small update sorta, I Uninstalled the game, and then re installed it and it still wont work.

Sounds to me like a corrupted game. First of all, one does not simply uninstall Spiral Knights. May I ask do you have the independent or steam version of Spiral Knights. Next is how you uninstalled your game, just a quick check.

OH GOODIE I have the steam

I have the steam client, I Went into steam and went to delete local content. Thats about it. Then Just Reinstalled it from steam again.

Edit : Whilst reflecting on what I said, I made a fatal error. When you delete the local content (on steam), it technically uninstalls the game, but does not delete the installation files, which include the same game files as when it Spiral Knights is installed (the corrupted files). Therefore reinstalling from steam does not simply work.

To fix your problem, proceed to your steam folder and delete the whole spiral knights folder (the whole folder) @ C:/Program_Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/. Then just download the game again (which downloads a new set of (probably uncorrupted) game files).

Verifying was unsuccessful, but following your instructions, uninstalled, reinstalled, and its back to normal.
