26.7k dmg with ONE heart pendant and no wep slots :3
Beat this.
And I'm tired of people bragging about numbers that depend more on their enemies than themselves. Is this topic going to get anywhere? The answer is no. Some people will say that they totes could do that but in reality, anyone with a good Gran Faust can double swing their way to a bazillion damage.
29k with GF only in fencing jacket + chaos cowl + 2 tetra trinkets.
so long ago.
Well the question is Krakob: did you actually do it?
There's a lot of ways you could, but what matters is if you've actually went out and done it.
@krakob
your enemy does matter, but you matter more. If you can't even hit a person while they're standing still (trust me, I've seen it), then you can't get high damage. Even if the enemy team sucks really hard, you won't be able to do much.
@Feyi
I didn't do it. Why should I? When I play LD, I do my best to have fun and do my best to make sure my team wins, not to prove to others that I am capable of ignoring the game's actual objectives to get bigger damage numbers.
@Redblades
Ah, yes. I forgot that you need to be able to position yourself using the striker boost and click your mouse twice while not aiming straight away from your enemy. Sorry!
Seriously though, obviously not everybody can score it but you don't really need more than a bit of experience and the correct gear to do it. You might matter more in the sense that it's literally impossible to do it if you can't land a single hit on an enemy standing still but with just a bit of skill, you're suddenly more dependent on none of your enemies being able to beat you and none of your teammates hogging the damage.
Kill someone using only an unheated 3* Rigadoon and proccing the stun 3 times in a row while balancing a tea cup on your nose with a jar of dirt tied to your left arm on a Saturday, but only when it's cloudy.
About a year ago on my alt I got 24k with no trinks, 1 piece of 3* and one piece of 4* with a boltbrand and gigawatt.
You know me well enough to know I'm no damageho Kraky :o It kind of just happened.
Well I was playing with good players, the other team did roughly 10k each. It's not like I was playing with a bunch of noobs playing guardian or recon. But there's no way to prove it XD
- Match duration. A match can end in ~3 minutes or 8. (~260%)
- Whether your opponent chooses to face you head-on with the knowledge that you'll probably win or not. (~300%)
- Your enemies being numerous. It's possible to have 4 opponents or 8. (~200%)
- Your allies not leeching damage. It's possible to have 3/4 allies or up to 7/8 (~235%).
- Your enemies having a lot of health. This requires them to have played LD enough to have heart trinkets, but not long enough to be close to your skill level. Health can be 15 pips or up to 39 (~260%)
- Your weapon and damage bonus being optimized to overkill enemies. (~140%)
- You not being dead. It's possible to be dead for about 20 seconds at a time. At the very you should be able to be alive for 15 after that. Provided you never die, your time alive increases by: (235%)
- If you have heart trinkets, you will survive twice as long. (200%)
- You being better than your opponent. If you're not better than your opponent, you can just whail at them with your Gran Faust and tank hits with your heart trinkets and die. The maths for this is a little fuzzy, but assuming an average match lasts 4 minutes and a typical 'good' score is 20k, that makes for 5k damage per minute, which means 4.6 kills per minute. If you're not better than your opponent, you'd on average kill one and die on the next one, giving you only the damage of ~1.5 kills as you spend the rest of the minute waiting to respawn. (300%)
- Auto-target increases your chance of hitting your opponent. Let's say double? (200%)
- If there's a hazebomber on the enemy team, you need UVs to pass through the haze. Otherwise he can protect himself and perhaps 1 other ally. This can be half the team. (200%)
- Having ASI on your weapon lets you hit first. I dunno how much this affects things honestly, but I have no trouble hitting things with my Gran Faust ASI low while my Triglav is impossible to hit things with so let's say (400%)
Total factor that has to do with skill: 235% x 300% = 705%
Total factor that has nothing at all to do with skill: 300% x 1000% x 200% x 235% x 260% x 140% x 200% x 200% x 200% x 400% = 1642368%
Well that's not so bad then. A skilled person should score 7 times more damage than a mediocre person! A crappy score is 4k and that means a really good score should be at 28k in the same match.
Meanwhile, I can arrange a shard bomb match and have opponents going guardian and wearing health trinkets for me. The total modifier for this was 3600% (2k in a usual shard bomb match versus 72k). Let's see how I achieved that.
I had no skill: 3600% / (100%) = 3600%
I had the minimum amount of oppponents: 3600% / 100% = 3600%
Shard bombs are weak, no overkill: 3600% / 100% = 3600%
My allies were not leeching damage: 3600% / 235% = 1532%
I had no heart trinkets: 1532% / 100% = 1532%
I had no auto-target: 1532% / 100% = 1532%
Match duration was 8 minutes: 1532% / 260% = 590%
No ASI: 590% / 100% = 590%
No enemy hazebomber: 590% / 200% = 295%
My opponents willingly faced me despite the certain knowledge they'd die: 295% / 300% = 98%
Close enough.
This thread isn't going anywhere, the damage you did fully depends on the skill of your enemies. If people can't predict your moves and keep runing into your blade, even Terrty could score 26.7k. I doubt you'd score that with only 1 penta against higher ranked players.
So just graveyard this, this thread will most likely cause some weird ruckus one way or the other.
Zeddy scored 72k with no trinkets and no weapon slots. Try harder Σ:3
Edit: oh, he used a weapon slot. But no trinkets, I'm pretty dang sure.
