What's good for UFSC?

Before I enter my 4th and final Shadow Lair (maybe NOT the last considering the new boss might have one), I would like to ask what would be good for it

My standard FSC loadout that consists of Perfect Mask of Seerus, 2 Penta Heart Pendants, Crest of Almire, Vog Coat (with curse High) Leviathn Blade, Blitz Needle, Shivermist Buster, and Argent PeaceMaker

It's not technically my "last SL I'll do in my lifetime", it's "last" because I did the 3 previous ones.

My sprite is my Maskeraith with the Elite Piercing Harness and Ghostbust III (Damage bonus Undead High). Also part of my standard FSC loadout.

I am aware the Divine set might be surperior due to it resisting elemental, fire, shadow, and curse, but my Vog coat is what brought this question.

Thoughts?

EDIT: Clarification added.

You are lacking of damage bonus. Other than that, it's fine. Why final? What battle sprite perk? Replace leviathan blade with something elemental blade. Argent is kinda a weapon when you running out of options on what to do, you should stick to much more useful or powerful weapons.

Curse resist is typically for

Curse resist is typically for clumsy players. You dont need it if you dodge zombie breath well. But fire resistance helps. Elemental helps. Possibly a better sword than the Crapviathan Blade. Blitz is good, Shiv good (I dont think DF Vana can be frozen though, might be wrong tho). AP is meh, alchemer may do better.

All in all, pretty great set for UFSC. Defense shpuldnt be too necessary, but all depends on the clumsiness of the player. Personally, I would bring a Blast Bomb for area clearance (it gets very packed at times), and a combuster instead of the crap sword. But it shouldnt be too bad. Gl

@Poopsie

I need my Levi as a Melee weapon as it does have ASI VH

@Rezzler I have a Storm driver is that helps. You're going to be eating those words once you gotta push a mob of things out of your way for elbow room. A crap sword would be Winmillion, or any sword that is not 5*.

BTW don't ask why I'm on my alt. Long, un-necessary story.

Move this thread to the Arsenal, then I'll discuss. (This thread belongs to The Arsenal)

asi vh doesn't make it more useful than its current mechanics. Damage is pitiful compared to any elemental blade to zombies, unless you use it for other things. It is a good weapon when you're solo, but in party, you better not tossing monsters too much, especially that you can't really aim the directions monsters get knocked. Actually, Blitz Needle and Combuster are the best weapon for carnavon (purple zombie).

Oh, I am well aware of the KB

Oh, I am well aware of the KB usefulness. In fact, I previously owned an FoV set that kicked butt. (OH'KOed nearly everything solo. It is amazing. But too bad the levi sucks.)

And storm driver? Definitely that over AP, especially with CTR med extra from the helm.

Ill be honest, levi used to be competent. Until OOO decided to buff gunners from low bonuses to medium bonuses on armor, and when brandishes got a buff in charges. Old brandish charges used to choke out 1-3 4* pulsar sized explosions randomly. But now....well, ya know.

I am afraid the glory days of the crapviathan are over :/

First, what the others say. You don't have a sword bonus. The helm is fine, but the coat should also have a damage bonus instead. Do you have a different coat that could perhaps also help you in UFSC?

Second, the weapons you have are okay. However, ask if one of your members have a shivermist bomb equipped with them. If one of them do, then don't equip a shivermist buster as one would be enough to help. Also, you could replace it with an elemental weapon. Perhaps use a weapon that could take out slags in seconds.

What's even better is that mine has CTR low, paried with Seeurs helm is Max.

@Skyguarder

My only Elemental Protection armor is my Vog coat, which gives a built-in ASI Medium for swords. But my GM told me as much shadow protection as possible. This will sound dumb, but would Heavenly Iron set help? As it protects shadow and curse? or maybe the Deadshot set? Also, would my Warmaster hammer also help?

gotta say normal damage still good since lots of split up damage, elemental also good if you got into traps/fire floor too often, fire hurts me the most at UFSC anyway but what can I say? I wear negative fire resist >_> Let's say what's your weak point? traps + floor fire, go for elemental defense, zombie, go for shadow, combination of zombies + others, go for anything that has normal defense. With hammer, you gotta play more defensively most of the time (using first swing -> shield cancel only) then use first swing -> dash -> first swing -> dash for other unmovable monsters. If you are still not used with hammer, then your leviathan > hammer.

Why sword damage bonus? Because you need a certain damage number built-up to cancel their attack animation while doing full combo / charge attack that will save your butt if you just keep punching attack buttons.

What's the difficulty anyway? If it's normal, don't take too much headache, just bring whatever.

Once I'm sure I'm ready, I'll make one more announcement thread. As always, my first-time SLs will be on advanced mode.

@Xtweeterx
The perfect mask of seerus and heavenly iron armor would be a perfect combination. You'll have gun and sword bonuses, fire and curse resistance (ignore the negative shock resistance) and decent defense.

Will the Warmaster Rocket Hammer help? Yes, if you're careful. The dash is extremely dangerous in UFSC because of how much traps and mobs there are.
