Haiya!

The Cradle has got a Moon by it, doesn't it? Why not to make a danger mission where we build a rocket and fly there for inspection? It could look like that:
1. Lunar Inspect-Rocket Research - in the first zone, we go to a kind of deconstruction zone, where we have to get all the pieces of rocket together. They will be locked alongside with encaged Knights.
2. Lunar Inspect-Tough Touch Down - after building the rocket, we fall to the Moon Surface safe and sound, but some rocks cover us. It turns out that Gremlins are on the Moon as well. They also found the rocket, but not you, because you were covered, and locked it in a vault underground. We have to find our way to Gremlin Lunar Base and get the rocket back in order to return to the Cradle.
3. Lunar Inspect-Return to Haven - there we go, terrifying Gremlin Lunar Base full of Gremlins and Constructs. After some tough fighting against Gremlin legions and some battlepods, we finally find our rocket and that's it. Later Kora contacts us via comlink, where we report what we found. We get 60 prestige. What do you say?

When you're this swag this world just bows at your knees

Here we go again.

Where do we get the power source for such a rocket?

What if we don't need nearly as much power to go on a planet-to-moon (and return) trip as opposed to an intergalactic journey?

Thanks for replies.

@Hexzyle - In the first floor of the level.

@Draycos - Then the rocket construction doesn't need digging through the whole Cradle surface and Clockworks.

I'm going to steal...THE MOOOOON!

Like many others I want to go to the moon too. I think it'd be cool if it was a large open environment like the Apocrea full of lunar dangers (sinkholes, meteor impacts, natural puzzles, dust storms?) and we eventually find some extinct civilization (Gremlin?) in some crater. But not everything is extinct per se.

Cool.

So, there would be open space with some barriers, but minimap would be operational. Still, the knight that take part in it would be split all over it.

Other plot relevant questions for such a... unneeded idea for the game:
1. Why would we even want to go to the moon? We came to Cradle for the soul purpose to steal energy to try and win a war to save our homeworld.
2. Do you think before posting?
3. Why are gremlins on the moon?
4. How did they get there?
5. If gremlins have space flight why did they not intercept us mid space flight to Cradle to kick our butts?
6. Should I just gib slap you?
7. Why would this mission be replayable if we learn that we can't safely colonize the moon?
8. Why haven't the moon gremlins just nuked us or something?
9. Are the forums making me cynical again?

Where do we get the power source for such a rocket?
-The Artifact/the generator powering the Lab.

1. Why would we even want to go to the moon? We came to Cradle for the soul purpose to steal energy to try and win a war to save our homeworld.
-Tech Knights discover an energy signal coming from the moon that is not big enough to power the Skylark, but could further our quest to return home and get Energy. Surveillance suggests that the moon appears to have similar structure to Cradle and houses Gremlins that are not part of the Crimson Order or Emberlight tribes - perhaps they can help us learn more about this strange world?

2. Do you think before posting? (why am I answering this)
-if he didn't, I'm doing it for him now. :)

3.+4. Why are gremlins on the moon? How did they get there?
-The moon was originally part of Cradle but there was an accident during construction and a large chunk broke off and settled in orbit. Some Gremlins were stranded there and have since separated themselves from the Order due to lack of communications.

5. If gremlins have space flight why did they not intercept us mid space flight to Cradle to kick our butts?
-already answered, also, remember the giant purple lasers?

6. Should I just gib slap you?
-please don't.

7. Why would this mission be replayable if we learn that we can't safely colonize the moon?
-MOAR SCIENCE! INTEL! AND STUFF! (actually read below I have a better idea)

8. Why haven't the moon gremlins just nuked us or something?
-we weren't important to them. And if they had the tech to send stuff to Cradle, they would have just gone back.

9. Are the forums making me cynical again?
-no, they can only do that once. You've been cynical since the first time you set foot here.

Extention to #7: This mission shouldn't actually be replayable or a danger mission, it should be a rank mission. We could go to the moon, learn whatever OOO wants us to learn, and get back, advancing the story. Yay lore~

@Bustware #5 and Lanieu #4: No thanks, don't want to go through another Apocrea-style mission again. Maybe a more open level type, but not that open.

So... +.5?

@Klipik-Forum
More questions because someone who can actually provide information has taken the job for this "original" post.
1. If the moon is one big construction like the clockwork, how did it get up there? It can't be an explosion. The force required would have killed anything on it so it would either be a launch, something also near impossible, or a natural moon.
2. If gremlins have super lasers, why can't the moon ones, again, just kill us all?
3. What about the energy costs to reach said moon? We are trying to weigh stuff out here Klipik. If it would take more man power and actual power to get said moon energy why go for it.
4. If the power amount is a large amount how did we not notice the gremlins on the moon?

P.S.
Go to youtube.com and copy paste the "/watch" after the ".com", Klipik. It is fairly relevant to this chat.

@Klipik-Forum - thanks for

@Klipik-Forum - thanks for thinking for me (XD)

@Waffleconecake -
1. Gremlins built the Clockworks on the Moon as well.
2. Power outrage? No, just kidding. The Lunar Gremlins simply don't have such lasers.
3. Because the Moon might contain big energy source and more reachable than the one on the Cradle.
4. We discovered and this is why we launch there!

Extension to Extension to #7 - Why not? There might be something like Lunar Camp made after we finished the mission.

What does the title theme have to do with anything?

1. If the moon is one big construction like the clockwork, how did it get up there? It can't be an explosion. The force required would have killed anything on it so it would either be a launch, something also near impossible, or a natural moon.
-Did you forget/not read? "-The moon was originally part of Cradle but there was an accident during construction and a large chunk broke off and settled in orbit. Some Gremlins were stranded there and have since separated themselves from the Order due to lack of communications." Or did you want to know what the "Accident" was? An explosion wouldn't have had to kill everyone on that section, it could have been a localized series of detonations that targeted structural weak points before that section was fully connected and secured to the main planet.

2. If gremlins have super lasers, why can't the moon ones, again, just kill us all?
-Those came from the planet, remember? And, like I said before, they either haven't noticed us, can't get here, or don't care about us.

3. What about the energy costs to reach said moon? We are trying to weigh stuff out here Klipik. If it would take more man power and actual power to get said moon energy why go for it.
-What kind of fuel do the skylark's secondary generator (powering the lab) and the Artifact use? From the looks of it, not very much of whatever it is since no one has ever mentioned concerns about running out of power. I think a short trip to the moon wouldn't be too taxing on the power sources we have. And it would definitely be worth it if would help us get the energy from the Core.

4. If the power amount is a large amount how did we not notice the gremlins on the moon?
Either 1) we just upgraded our surveillance equipment or 2) they just created something that takes/outputs a whole ****ton of power. Either way, it's something new, and we don't know what it is, so we should explore it for aforementioned reasons.

@Bust: I suppose that could be a site for further post-vanguard missions, as could the Core Lobby. But not like another Haven, because All these reasons.
