Oh man I haven't heard of Chris and Magnus in FOREVER. They were old legends back when I first started playing over 2 years ago. Chris and Magnus were among the first SK millionaires, back in the early days of the beta.
Chris founded Knightmare back in beta, which was one of the first elite guilds of the game. Knightmare was the first to truly master Vanaduke and were one of the first GvG titans. According to their wiki page, Knightmare started falling apart when an update introduced item binding and dramatically increased crafting costs, which led to many officers quitting. Chris ended up suffering from a bit of egotism and hypocrisy. Wouldn't be surprised if there are a few people who don't miss him at all.
I'm pretty sure Magnus was around before the Magnus gun even existed. I don't know much about him, but I mostly associate him with the guild Guild, one of the first elite guilds of the game. Back in the early days of GvG, it was Knightmare and Guild battling for dominance, with Jempire off to the side a bit. Guild was one of the first to ever conquer Shadow Lairs. I remember seeing him once in game with a full suit of Snarbolax Armor+Shield and 4 weapons, all with double VH/Max UVs. This was back before UV locking even existed, so he had to have been rolling A LOT of UV tickets.
You can also throw Rommil and Pawn in the same boat as Chris and Magnus. Another of the elite beta Veterans with strong ties to a guild. For Rommil and Pawn, the guild is/was Unity. I don't remember Unity being as dominant in lockdown as Knightmare and Guild, but they were still one of the old giants. I'm honestly not sure what happened to them.
Also, special shoutout to Exileddread who was mentioned in a massive list before. He wasn't really on the forums, because in general he never spoke... like at all... However, I still believe he is the best Lockdown Striker that ever existed in SK.
EDIT**
I thought this thread was meant to bring up those legends to those who never were around to see them. Keep history alive and all that stuff.
It's not my fault I quit for 6 months when I was 0* and that I care about my business in game >.> Why do people have to criticize those who are not educated on something instead of actually educating them? >.>
