Stuck with a friend and sent a support request quite a while ago.
Is there a way to know if there's any Game Master online? To know if we're just wasting time or if help might come soon.
Dunno if their schedules covers up 24h per day?
Can we know if a GM is online?
Use the /tell command, you need to know the GM's name though
Alas, we have only 8 american GM's, and about....what was that number for the anniversary a while back....3 million I believe? Yes, 3m+ players. So don't be surprised if it takes a supremely long time for them to answer your request.
They answer them in a 'single file line' type order, first come first served, for all you know, you might end up 2nd on one GM's list, or last on anothers.
Nope. About 2.9+ million of those are TF2 players who played just long enough to get the hat. Judging from the SteamGraph I'd say that there's usually about ~8,000 players active at any given time.
You've forgetting about the indigenous people who don't give a crap about steam and play off of a client, which is many. Steam ain't the world kid.
You can requests assistance from a GM here:
https://www.spiralknights.com/support/#requests_new
By doing so the GMs will get your call and can come as soon as available (or answer your questions)
Usually trying to send a tell to a GM just gets a auto response asking to use the support ticket system instead as they aren't usually watching the game screen or get too many tells to notice. The link above is the only guaranteed way to contact a Game Master.
@Gianor
I am NOT indigenous and I play off a client. Not all people who are "indigenous" use steam dude.
BTW if you look at the other language forums, there are different admins i.e. "Clotho" from la forums de español.
I know they're not robots and they have to sleep as well as I know they're not all from US and there's quite a few of them around.
My question was if there was any sort of command which would make viable to know if there's one online, I have no idea if their schedules covers 24h daily. For those who played YPP before Spiral Knights, there is a /who command which you can see how many players are online and the Ocean Master in duty at the time. Sometimes there's two and once in a while there is none. Just wanted to make sure if I wasn't waiting for nothing since it was already late for US (most of them are from there anyways).
Eventually Galene showed up, but I found out she was too the OM in duty at PP, so she was taking care of two games at the same time, which was why she took a while to show up. The waiting time wasn't a big deal since I was stuck on fire plots along with a old time friend so time flies when we're talking and trolling around.
Hmm... I'm not from US, English isn't my main language and I don't play from steam, good to know that means I'm indigenous for some people.
(If anyone wants to know, the blast of a spark deals about 9 damage to Vanaduke, and it was a good waste of 5 sparks since I woke half the house laughing way too loud).
If a GM is online, they will usually respond to your request within 10 minutes. If they're offline it can take up to 12 hours.
They probably don't like attention. Speaking of attention, I am master of the forums.
I'm not being racist or anything, but I've come across many people who will give me negative responses from people because I use a client and not steam. You were referring to the 2.9m that did it for the hat in whatever the game was, I was referring to us that don't give a crap about steam, which still number in the thousands. So we got 8 GM's vs. 100,000 players, and that was back in April, who knows how many now.
I really hate SK being slow due to the Updates...They need more Admins...
Well they are not robots, but they live in parts of USA and Europe. Bad luck Asia.
