I'm new, what should I expect from this game later on? Things to go for? Things to expect? I'm somewhat curious as I explore the camp.
Hi
Midnight-Dj's armor recommendations are...unorthodox. It's possible that he's trolling you. You should gather some other opinions, before committing resources to his plan.
At the top of the New Recruits forum, there is a thread offering resources for learning about the game. Read them. A lot of them are on the wiki. Our wiki isn't perfect, but it really does have a lot of information. For example, there are guides (for sworders, gunners, and bombers, and also hybrids) to help you plan your equipment.
Work your way through the missions. Play in the Clockworks through the Arcade gates too. Try some player-vs-player if you like. Enjoy.
I have put many things into consideration and no, I am not trolling. Think about it:
FSC-> divine veil+volcanic salamander/armor of the fallen (got all the stats covered)+omega shell
IMF-> miracle hood+salamander suit +grey tortoise
RJP-> dusker coat+drake scale hem+drake scale shield
GW-> defualt colbalt helm+wolver coat +defualt defender
fiend/undead ->divine veil+armor of the fallen
Beast/slime-> dragon scale helm+skolver coat
Construct/Gremlin->Divine veil/dragon scale helm+volcanic salamander suit
The combination also have alot of different status resist such as shock freeze and fire, which will help him immensely in the up comming battle, and since normal defense is so rare in T3, there is no reason for him invest on a full set of anykind. The omega shell is a good shield, its health is un rivalled in the shield arsenal and it is good in almost any siutation.
Be noted, 7 coloured stars, this game can be very brutal and plz for the love of god don't craft your defualt colbolt gears (you will get them in the missions soon enough), after using them in GW (snarbolax, your first boss), sell them and use the money you gain to craft the first two componet of my build, the chroma suit and the drake scale helm as well as the drake scale shield, these stuff will help you in RJP. If you don't have money for all them, use the defualt colbalt helm until you can upgrade your dusker coat into an ashtail.
As for the defualt skelly suit (you will also get it for free), keep the suit if you think raiments are too girly for you. Comdining the skelly with divine veil can offter you status resistance against FIVE status in the game (fire shock freeze poison and curse). A very good build for a first time shadow defender.
My usage is:
Vog Club Cap
Vog Club Coat
Barbarous Thorn ShieldBecause of the Damage Bonus:Medium 83
Fang of Vog I am strongly recommended not to get this as it's VERY hard to get it.
There are many more sets but watch out! Don't enter Coliseum because it's FILLED with OVERPOWERED USERS!
Those guys are talking about complex, end-game stuff. I'd say continue with the game and see which type of weapon you like best - sword, gun or bomb - then make decisions based on that.
These peeps are experienced Vanguards who have designed armor sets based on their own skill (which, if it's not too flattering, I should think it to be very good.) A basic set is as follows for a swordsman:
-Wolver coat and cap
-An elemental Brandish line sword (either fire or freeze, since shock is a PvP award. I advise fire for more damage) and an Acheron (Shadow Brandish sword)
-An upgrade of the Bristling Buckler (traded with Fruminous Fangs, which are acquired upon fighting a boss called the Snarbolax).
-An upgrade of either the Flourish or the Snarble Barb (the latter gained from Fruminous Fangs, the former sold by typical Vendors in the Hall of Heroes).
-A sidearm of some sort (such as an Antigua line, which is acquired from Jelly Gems, gained from fighting a boss called the Royal Jelly).
Of course, this changes if you're a gunner or a bomber.
... you can be original. No need to follow petty guides that streamline your onlook and choices based on other peoples' likes. Get whatever works for you... as long as it isn't cautery sword, and you can safely say you are ready to take on anything; all should turn out well
Reading the guides does not mean that you end up like everyone else. It just means that you get to make an informed decision, before choosing your own path. You can always be original, without being willfully ignorant of your options.
Have you reached a town called Haven? If now, click 'activities' and proceed with story line mission. You are currently in Tier 1, the easiest level of all. Once you entered T2, expect a tough fight and a terrible grind to get the gears you wat.
You should experiment on my epic as hell noob arsenal load out build, these are the six pieces of Armors you need to beat the game!
Dragon scale helm
Divine veil
Volcanic salamander suit
Skolver coat
Armor of the fallen
Omega shell
Search these gears up on the wiki and you will know how to make them, as for weapons you should first decide which two type of weapon you wanna use for your journey. There are bomb, sword and gun. Three types of weapon and you have to choose two of them. I recommend you the sword-gun build, it is the best for the first time players.
You have to decide which weapon type you wanna be specialized in and which one you wanna be generalized in. As the weapons are upgraded, they can either be specific against certain race of monster (weak/average against others). Generalized weapons deal the same damage to all enemies in the game.
If you wanna be specialized in sword and generalize in gun, here are some stuffs you will need:
Swords: Divine avenger, Acheron, Final flourish.
Gun: valiance
f you wanna be specialized in gun and generalize in sword, here are some stuffs you will need:
Swords: leviathan blade
Gun: Polaris, Sentenza, Blitz needle
The weapons I recommended are the best for your story line (campain) Progression. They are easy to use and very reliable, search them up on wiki if you wanna know how they work exactly.
